2. 1.1 Elements of digital citizenship- There are elements of digital citizenship. These
elements are namely, digital access, digital commerce, digital communication, digital
etiquette, digital law, digital literacy, digital rights and responsibilities, digital security
and digital health and wealth.
Digital Access is basically the full participation of electronics in the society. Not
everyone will have the same opportunities when it comes to technology and this will
make it difficult to grow as a society.
Digital Commerce is the electronic exchange of information which allows the buyer
to associate with the legal exchanges.
Digital Communication involves buying and selling goods electronically which allows
everyone to keep in constant communication with anyone else as well as collaborate
with people from all over.
3. Digital Literacy is the process of teaching and learning about the use of
technology that requires sophisticated searching and processing skills.
Digital Etiquette is the electronic standards of procedure that indicates all
the appropriate and inappropriate uses of technology.
Digital Law is the electronic responsibility fir actions and deeds and it
teaches users to understand that stealing or damaging other people’s work
online is a crime.
4. Digital Rights and Responsibilities refers to the freedom extended to
people in the digital world which allows these people to have the right to
privacy and freedom of speech.
Digital Health and Wealth can be both physical and psychological in a
digital technology world. Issues like sound ergonomic practises need to
addressed in a new technological world.
Digital Security is basically self-protection that will guarantee your safety as
a user like virus protection, backing up your data etc.

6. Solution Fluency
This is solving problems by being
able to interpret information so
that you are able to find
information about a certain
problem. You can define the
problem, discover a solution,
dream up a process, design the
process, deliver by putting the
whole plan into action and debrief
the ownership.
Creativity Fluency
Shows how the proficiency in art
adds meaning through art and
design. This can be done by
Identifying the desired outcome,
Inspiring your creativity,
Interpolate the dots by searching
for the patterns in that particular
inspiration, Imagining the
synthesis of both inspire and
interpolate and inspecting the
idea against original criteria and
feasibility.
7. Collaboration Fluency
This is when you are able to work
and interact with virtual partners.
It involves the establishment of
the collective, Envisioning the
outcome, engineering a workable
plan, executing the plan into
action and examining the
process.
Media Fluency
Involves listening actively and
decoding the communication.
Leveraging the important and
appropriate communication
medium you will use.
8. Information Fluency
This being able to interpret data in all
formats unconsciously. You must
be in a position to Ask good
questions, access raw materials,
analyse the materials, apply the
knowledge within a real world
problem and assess the product
and the process.

capital and the social capital
narrows digital divide. Digital divide
will create separation in societies
and generations as well. There will
be connected and disconnected
people in the process and the
disconnected ones have no idea
what the fuss is about and this will
obviously create friction because
when you grow up seeing your rich
friend with more access to
information in a digital manner you
will be unhappy. This will lead to a
breakdown in collaboration
between the two sides due to the
digital divide.
