What is
technology in
the classroom?
Technology is the application of
scientific knowledge to the practical
goals of human life, or, as it is
sometimes referred to, to the
modification and manipulation of the
human environment. Technology in
the classroom encourages learners to
interact with the material they are
learning. EdTech, which ranges from
online educational games to
immersive virtual reality, empowers
learners to become active learners.

Technology available
to classroom
teachers:
To prepare learners for employment after they
graduate from high school, teachers should
incorporate technology into their lessons as often as
possible. There are few technologies they can use in
class for example:
 Blogs- Learners post their thoughts about the
topic they are learning in class on this website.
They post in chronological order, making it
simple for a teacher to monitor their posts.
Blogging allows learners to express themselves
in their own "unique voices." Learners can
develop their communication and conversation
skills by commenting on other people's posts or
responding to feedback on their blogs. Blogging
can also teach learners to be polite and
thoughtful.

How to use
technology in the
classroom:
Because learners already spend so much time on social
media, incorporating it into the classroom is one of the
most creative ways to use technology in the classroom by
connecting learners to curriculum, classroom resources,
and one another. Creating a Facebook group for the class
where the teacher can post discussion topics or develop
unique classroom activities. Learners can use Twitter
hashtags to discuss lessons or ask questions. Set up
learning stations to encourage and support learners who
work individually. Instead of being stuck waiting for other
learners to catch up or class to end if a learner completes
an assignment early, learners can extend and enhance
their learning by visiting a learning station and watching
videos, playing learning-based games, or exploring other
online activities related to their learning.

Importance of
technology in the
classroom:
Technology in the classroom gives teachers more tools to help
their learners. In addition to textbooks and worksheets,
technology provides educators with a variety of tools to assist
learners in developing a better understanding of the material.
Technology provides learners with easy access to information,
accelerated learning, and enjoyable opportunities to put what
they've learned into practice. It allows learners to explore new
subjects and deepen their understanding of difficult concepts.
Learners can gain 21st-century technical skills for future
occupations by using technology both inside and outside the
classroom. Most learners are already digital citizens, thanks to the
plentiful supply of social media sites. Learners, on the other hand,
can begin to learn how to be responsible in the digital world and
with their digital actions by incorporating technology into the
classroom. The class becomes a microcosm of the larger digital
landscape in which learners can practice communicating,
searching, and interacting with other digital citizens.
Conclusion:
+ Technology allows learners to transition from a more
traditional style of learning to a classroom where they
are actively engaged in the learning experience, have
access to the most up-to-date information, and have
some control over what they are learning and how
they demonstrate their learning. This makes their
learning experience inquiry-based, and it meets the
needs of today's learners. It assists learners in
preparing for their lives outside of the classroom.
