as Warner bros and have not really produced any major films like Warner
Bros have.

• The main difference between both of the films in terms of institutions is
that one of the films, Dark Night Rises was produced by Warner Bros, which
is a big film production company. Whereas, Paranormal Activity was
produced by two small production companies called Solana Films and

• Also, whereas Dark Night Rises had one film production company,
Paranormal Activity has two production companies that helped produce the

• Warner Bros, have produced many different types of films and different genres,
including dramas, action, horrors and comedies.
• Solana films have only produced Paranormal Activities therefore the genres the
Solana Films produce are Action and Horror.
• Blumhouse productions, tend to only do horrors or actions, maybe this is because
they feel the Action and Horror genres are what sell best.

11. What audience do each institutions appeal to?
• Warner Bros, mainly appeal to families and children and parent movies, they
do not really do one genre that is only targeted at a set audience, as they
produce all types of films, therefore I would say that their audience would be
people of al ages.
• Solana films have only produced Paranormal activities, therefore I would say
that the target audience for Solana Films would be 18-26 year olds.
• Blumhouse productions mainly produce horrors and actions therefore I
would also say that their target audience is 18-26 year olds.

12. Which institution is more successful in your
opinion?
• In my opinion I would say that Warner Bros are definitely the more
successful, this is because they have created so many more films than Solana
Films and Blumhouse productions and seem to have so much success in
almost all of their films. As a result of this conclusion I would say that
Warner Bros is definitely the most successful out of these institutions.
