2. ACTION CODES
Action codes are the resolution produced through action and it's
the events in the narrative which move the narrative on in a
particular direction. For example it could be someone knocking
on the door or a phone ringing. By having action codes it keeps
the narrative exciting and interesting but also it gives the
audience needed information.
3. ENIGMA CODES
Enigma codes tease the audience by presenting a puzzle or riddle to be
solved. This causes the audience the question what is happening and
what will happen next. For example, where are they going? Why have
they went there? Who are they?
The audience will then want to find out the answers to the questions
and are causing the audience to carry on watching. Enigma codes
entice the audience to watch the rest of the film as they're curious as to
what will happen next; they also help to move on the narrative.
