14. If you would like to know more about volunteering with CSSC,
get in touch with the London Team Leader, Jade Knowlden at
jade.knowlden@cssc.co.uk
Volunteers are at the very heart of CSSC. Volunteers are CSSC’s face within the
civil service and wider public sector. They run activities, assist with social media,
monitor income and expenditure, act as mentors and champion CSSC in their
workplace.
CSSC London offers a wide and vibrant activity programme. It has a series
of long established sports clubs including the CS Football Club who recently
celebrated their 150th anniversary (founder members of the FA). In addition it
has many one off activities embracing not only sport but recreation and leisure.
Volunteers are also needed to help promote CSSC and act as ambassadors to
spread the word about CSSC.
What you choose to do depends entirely on your interests and how much time
you want to give. It’s our ambition to make sure anyone who gives their time to
CSSC feels valued, understood and proud to be part of CSSC London’s volunteer
team.
A warm welcome awaits you as well as a chance to be part of a team that makes
a difference to people working in the civil service and the public sector.
VOLUNTEERING
14
15. “It’s a great way of getting to know the people in your building and it also makes
me aware early of what is going on within CSSC.”
Rosanne Savoury, CSSC office champion
What is an office champion?
Our office champions help to spread the word of CSSC. We are looking for one
volunteer per office who is responsible for promoting all the great benefits of
CSSC to their colleagues.
What is involved?
You can do as much or as little as you are able to, so you could…
• Forward on CSSC information to your colleagues
• Print and display posters in your office
• Post CSSC details on your intranet
• Talk to colleagues about the benefits of CSSC
• Open doors for the CSSC sales team
What support will I have?
CSSC will send you emails with everything you need to help you understand and
promote CSSC.
Your local volunteer support advisor will also be on hand to offer you any support
or advice you need.
OFFICE CHAMPIONS
