Why did you get involved?
I decided to get involved to increase my
fitness levels and finally make my dad
proud of me! Although boxing is certainly
diving right into the deep end!
How long have you been training for?
I have been training with Scott and his
team for 10 weeks now.
What have you found the hardest?
Definitely the training. I never truly
grasped how hard it would be to throw
a punch, prior to this I’m happy to reveal
Ghandi has thrown more punches than
me! It’s all for a great cause with Opera
though so more than happy to give
everyone a show come fight night.

I got involved tonight because it’s a good
change of pace to my role in Oho and I
really don’t mind a good scrap!
I have been training for 8 weeks now at
the gym.
I have absolutely found that not drinking
for 8 weeks over the latter part of summer
to be insanely difficult, not so much fun
having a water around mates with pints!

Sparring in Australia
A friend of mine also taking part tonight
(Austin) convinced me. Essentially, I just
came spar with him and teach him a
thing or two as I was getting bored of his
barrage of insults!
I have been training since very early
August.
Not drinking on a Friday night. The
training was tough for the first few weeks
in terms of the high intensity circuit
training but once you get into the rhythm
you just want to keep going, it’s been
great! Also, the toughest part I believe
will be on the night, putting all what I’ve
learned over the past two months into
3 rounds of what hopefully will be an
entertaining match.
Boxing History:
Training in a gym in Australia.
Training in Australia previously gave me
a small taste of what it might be like
to enter a white-collar event and I’ve
wanted to test myself ever since!
I have been training for 2 months now.
I can’t say I’ve been overly strict with
my diet to be honest, so definitely
the training. Oh, and my trip to Ibiza,
wouldn’t recommend it as part of your
training regime! In all fairness though the
training has been brilliant and a huge
shout out to Scott and his team for the
hard work and dedication they have
given us the past few months.

Boxing History:
5 White-Collar bouts
Seen OPERA present and think it’s a
great cause. Plus I’ve been in recruitment
since 1988 and couldn’t resist the
temptation to come out of boxing
retirement to take part in a recruitment
specific boxing event.
I have been training for 6 weeks.
Wait, we were meant to be dieting too!?
Training has been difficult, especially
when I didn’t think I would be fighting
again! However, the team at Knights Gym
are brilliant and I (think) I’m ready to get
back in the ring!

A couple of sparring sessions in Australia!
My CEO’s silver tongue got me to the
gym, haven’t stopped since then!
I have been training in the gym for 7
weeks now.
Before the training began I never saw
myself as someone who would be as into
this as I am! Both the training and the
diet are extremely difficult but when it’s
for a good cause and to raise some money
for the less fortunate you take it all on
the chin! Saying that, the end of summer
BBQ’s with no beer were not as fun as you
think!

into the deep end and with it being for
such a great charitable cause, it made it
easy to throw my hat in the ring!
I have been training for 7 weeks now.
I try to keep myself in relatively good
shape anyway so the hardest part for
me must be continuing to eat right and
staying off the booze!

My brother (Roger – Oho) did not want to
fight, I took it upon myself to be his stunt
double!
Other than the obvious physical rigor of
boxing, telling friends and family who
don’t want me to be hit in the face has
been quite a challenge!

boxing is pretty badass! It all just made
sense.
I have been training in the gym for 6
weeks.
The hardest thing for me was the
training, before going to see Scott and
the team I had never thrown a proper
punch my whole life! There is a lot more
to it than just swinging a fist at someone!
Boxing History:
It’s a great chance to contribute to an
awesome cause as well as help to give the
industry a better name. I always love a
physical challenge and it’s fair to say that
I had (still have) some timber to lose and
needed to get in shape. This seemed to
be the perfect option on all fronts
I have been in the gym for 12 weeks now.
The training sessions have been hard; the
nosebleeds and the dental bill have been
tough to swallow. The weekly abdominal
focus Mide put us through has been
painful, planking is not my ally!

I would like to get fitter, enjoy a good
rumble whilst contributing to a great
charity.
I wouldn’t say either the training nor the
diet is too difficult, sometimes I would
like to have that slice of cake or go out for
a few drinks but have managed to keep
my will strong for fight night!
Boxing History:
Never fought before! (Muay Thai + Karate)
I hyped myself up to my colleagues, so
now it’s a pride thing! Also, the cause is
great and gives so much positivity to the
recruitment sector.
I have been training for about 8 weeks
now at the gym, plus kickboxing training
I do away from this event.
Training is a lot tougher than expected,
lots more stamina needed than I
anticipated. I though Anthony Joshua
just winged the whole thing to be honest!

years
Dieting for myself is definitely the
hardest, nothing as difficult as watching
colleagues scoff down cakes and biscuits
whilst I eat tuna salad… Again!

I have boxed previously and work in
recruitment, so to combine the two was
just a natural move for myself!
Including my other fights, I have been in
training for 8 months now.
The diet by far, I’m going to sound like a
broken record but for the past 8 months
I have had to be careful with any kind of
consumption other than my macros for
the day. This sounds about as glamorous
as it is! Although, that aside it will be
a fun night and we’ll raise some good
money for Opera.

medallist in the post flying lap medal

T67 Firefly plane and the G-force, you will undertake tail chasing and air
combat against one another!
