Power Hour
“Do first things first, and second things not at all.” Brian Tracy
Delegate Time Properly!
Don’t just spend time, invest it!
Block out at least ONE hour on Monday through Saturday where you
can work your business without disruptions.
• No laundry, paying bills—just focused work time.
• Highlight this in your planner and make it non-negotiable.
• You tell your time how you will spend it.
• Divide your power hour into 20 minute increments: 20/20/20
Your First 20 Minutes is OUTGOING! If you always
have outgoing, you will always have incoming.
• Contact List with 100 names. Always keep adding to this list.
• FORM the relationship (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Message) and look
for S.I.G.Ns (S.I.G.N. – Strengths, Interests, Goals, Needs)
• Simply reconnect with people and ask them, “Hey, how’s it going? You
crossed my mind today! What’s new”
• Look at pictures on their wall so you have something to ask them about
and talk to them about
• Be more concerned with being interested in them rather than interesting
yourself.
• Find out if there is a need that you can meet or a way that you can help.
• Don’t have an agenda or expectations. Just find a commonality.
Second 20 minutes—INCOMING—Follow up!
• Go for the Ask! If you never ask, the answer will always be NO!
• Based on their S.I.G.N. simply ask, “I’ve been meaning to ask you—have
you ever considered doing what I do? Or, “Have you ever considered
joining an online fitness support group?”
• Then share a 3rd party tool! (Ever Feel Like This video, webinar, link to a
recorded call)
• Ask them, “If I …..would you?” (Go Pro)
• If they say yes then ask, “When do you think you’ll have time to watch this?
It’s about 20 minutes long.”
• Then ask, “What’s the best time for us to chat after you’ve had a chance to
watch it?” Set up the day and time and put it in your planner!
• THEN send them the link or the information they need!
The Fortune is in the Follow Up!
• Follow up on the phone! Don’t hide behind a message. This speeds up the
process rather than going back and forth in messages.
• When you say you’ll call at 8:00, make sure you call at 8:00!
• Keep track of your appointments in your planner and set alerts on your phone.
• Take the pressure off yourself! Have an “I don’t need you attitude.” When you
get them on the phone, simply ask, “What did you like best?” NOT “What did you
think?”
• Or ask, “Did this make sense to you?”
• “This may not be for you, but on a scale from 1-10 with 1 being zero interest and
10 being ready to get started right away, where are you right now?”
• Based on this answer, determine your next step!
Last 20 minutes: To Do List
• Work on PUSH goal—what needs to change in me to reach my goals?
• Personal Development
• Training webinars/videos
• Listen to recorded calls
• Connect with coaches
• Check emails
• Edit pictures/Social Media posts
• Ask yourself, “What can I delegate?” ELANCE!!
