The BBA board represent the Bachelor of Business Administration student body. We
are dedicated to providing students with outstanding initiatives that will enable them to
grow both personally and professionally. By hosting events that are intriguing with a
clear focus and objective, whether they be social or academic, will create an

Creating an environment that enhances the extended knowledge for the BBA students,
however, is costly. Investments and sponsorships provide an exceptional opportunity
for both the BBA board and for the investors. With BBA's wide diversity of international

Mission Statement

Vision, Values, Guiding Principles
and Strategy
The BBA Vision and Values
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program represents the diversity and
equality that we strive for in our attempt to encourage a well-rounded student body.
With due diligence and creativity we offer our students a vast opportunity for success
and individual growth. We take into account not only the background and culture of
each student but their individual interests when creating events and activities that are
centred for social or academic purposes.
Our core values directly influence our social and academic elements as an association
and program, as well as how each board member carries themselves as individuals.
Values such as cohesiveness, charity, creativity and of course academic excellence,
represents the vision we as a board would like to convey to our student body, future
students and potential investors.
Creating projects and events that center around our values allows us to have a clear
and distinctive vision for the BBA board. For the 2016/2017 board our vision is to create
a community of students that strive to succeed. Whether that success is formed
through excellent academic performance or through individual growth, we encourage
a high standard of efficiency and support among each other and those that we wish to
affiliate our program with.
2
Our strategy for following our vision and maintaining our values as an association is
constructed through the ‘Golden Circle” and into three parts:
Affiliation: Working with companies and individuals that are making a positive
contribution to business.
Purpose: Ensuring that all events both academic and social are reinforced by
the core values of the BBA board.
Interactions: Working with the BBA students to ensure they are benefitting
from the actions and events hosted by the board.
The Golden Circle:
What?
How?
Why?
What?
In BBA, we believe in challenging the status quo,
we believe in thinking differently. By establishing an
environment without barriers, leads to a conducive
atmosphere of creating and sharing ideas. We see
the true value in our students, and believe they will
thrive when given the proper opportunities.
How?
The way we do that is by having bigger, more
frequent, and higher quality events.
Why?
The result is the most marketable students coming
into the business world, this is your opportunity to
invest in the leaders of tomorrow.

Social Activities of the Association
The BBA board is launching a new and improved social and academic environment for
all of the BBA students at BI Norwegian Business School. In an attempt to complete this
goal we have integrated events and activities that will bring together an array of
students. These events will not merely focus on social or academic but collaborate
both in order to engage everyone participating. Below is a list of a few of the social
events that take place throughout the school year:
Linjedagen
Annual Cabin Trip
Holiday parties
- Halloween Party
- Christmas Dinner
- End of the Year and Welcome Back to School gatherings
17th of May Breakfast

The BBA program is significant not merely because of the fact that it is an incredibly
international program but because it offers academic courses that will give students an
advantage once they are in their chosen careers. While the program offers the core
courses students need in order to thrive in the business industry, such as accounting,
marketing, and economics, there is also a variety of courses that give a more thorough
and in depth knowledge of what to expect once in their careers. TorHaugnes
professor for the course ‘The Firm” states that “TheFirmgivesstudentsacompetitive
advantageastheyacquireafirmunderstandingofthedrivingforcesbehindcorporate
change”.
Academic excellence is a very important aspect of any institution especially the BBA
program. Due to the combination of international and Norwegian students we want to
ensure that everyone is being challenged to their full potential and is encouraged to
work beyond the classroom. Therefore the board has put together several activities
that focus on expanding and challenging our student’s knowledge. A few of our new
academic events are listed and described below:
BBATalks, a new and exciting concept for the BBA board! This is a series of
lectures with the aim to engage, motivate and take advantage of the unique
aspects of being part of an international program.
Academic Elements of the Association
2016/2017 school year will be BBA’s first time participating in BBADay. This
event is created as a way to engage students in interactive and exciting
ways. BBA Day also showcases the opportunities students have by
choosing to be a part of the BBA program.

BI Norwegian Business School guarantees that all students are given the proper
education to prosper in their future careers, however, the BBA board ensures
that students leave BI with the knowledge and capacity to thrive in their working
environment. Education and knowledge of the business industry is incredibly
important in preparing for a career in a firm, but having the ability to facilitate
these educational techniques requires far more than what can be learned in a
classroom. That is why we aim to provide the skills that allow social adaptability
among classmates, friends, professors and colleagues; while at the same time
encouraging extended academics.
An investment into the BBA program would not just provide corporate
exposure and recruitment branding, it would also ensure that when the
students graduate from BI Norwegian Business School they will have been
given the opportunity and experience to thrive in the business industry. This
would also alleviate the financial burden distributed onto the students due to
our extra costs. Our financial goal for our events is to ensure that all activities are
as affordable as possible for the BBA students, however, when extra costs are
not within our parameters we are obligated to add these costs to the ticket
prices. While we have made the steps to ensure reduced expenses and
unnecessary costs, your investment into the BBA program would be of great
assistance.
If you would like more information regarding the BBA program or the activities
the board hosts throughout the year please visit our website at

our Business Plan.

  • 10. The BBA program is significant not merely because of the fact that it is an incredibly international program but because it offers academic courses that will give students an advantage once they are in their chosen careers. While the program offers the core courses students need in order to thrive in the business industry, such as accounting, marketing, and economics, there is also a variety of courses that give a more thorough and in depth knowledge of what to expect once in their careers. TorHaugnes professor for the course ‘The Firm” states that “TheFirmgivesstudentsacompetitive advantageastheyacquireafirmunderstandingofthedrivingforcesbehindcorporate change”. Academic excellence is a very important aspect of any institution especially the BBA program. Due to the combination of international and Norwegian students we want to ensure that everyone is being challenged to their full potential and is encouraged to work beyond the classroom. Therefore the board has put together several activities that focus on expanding and challenging our student’s knowledge. A few of our new academic events are listed and described below: BBATalks, a new and exciting concept for the BBA board! This is a series of lectures with the aim to engage, motivate and take advantage of the unique aspects of being part of an international program. Academic Elements of the Association 2016/2017 school year will be BBA’s first time participating in BBADay. This event is created as a way to engage students in interactive and exciting ways. BBA Day also showcases the opportunities students have by choosing to be a part of the BBA program. 8 TheCaseCompetition Bi-Annual Study Trip The GMCSCourse is a basic diploma program in trading that is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about the capital markets, this course provides students with practical insight and knowledge to use once they have graduated.
  • 11. Financial Summary 9 BI Norwegian Business School guarantees that all students are given the proper education to prosper in their future careers, however, the BBA board ensures that students leave BI with the knowledge and capacity to thrive in their working environment. Education and knowledge of the business industry is incredibly important in preparing for a career in a firm, but having the ability to facilitate these educational techniques requires far more than what can be learned in a classroom. That is why we aim to provide the skills that allow social adaptability among classmates, friends, professors and colleagues; while at the same time encouraging extended academics. An investment into the BBA program would not just provide corporate exposure and recruitment branding, it would also ensure that when the students graduate from BI Norwegian Business School they will have been given the opportunity and experience to thrive in the business industry. This would also alleviate the financial burden distributed onto the students due to our extra costs. Our financial goal for our events is to ensure that all activities are as affordable as possible for the BBA students, however, when extra costs are not within our parameters we are obligated to add these costs to the ticket prices. While we have made the steps to ensure reduced expenses and unnecessary costs, your investment into the BBA program would be of great assistance. If you would like more information regarding the BBA program or the activities the board hosts throughout the year please visit our website at http://bba.sbio.no/BBABusinessPlan; here you will also find the full version of our Business Plan.
