Activity 1: Creating task for the learning and teaching of Pythagoras Theorem
• Hide the Spreadsheet View, the Coordinate Grid, and Coordinate Axes (View menu).
• Select On (Grid) from the Options/Point Capturing menu.
• Select New Points only from the Options/Labelling menu.
Construction Steps:
1 New Point A and B.
2 Semicircle through points B and A.
3 Point C on arc of semicircle.
4 Polygon ABC
5 Regular polygon using points C, A and 4 points.
6 Regular polygon using points B, C and 4 points.
7 Regular polygon using points A, B and 4 points.
8 Hide Semicircle and enhance the appearance of your construction.
9 Hide Algebra View.
Activity 2: Saving GeoGebra files
• Open the File menu and select Save.
• Select a location and a folder in the appearing dialog window.
• Type in a name for your GeoGebra file.
• Click Save in order to finish this process.
Activity 3: Measure Length, Perimeter, Area and Angles
Construction steps
1 Select the Distance or Length tool.
2 Click one side of each square to measure its length.
3 Click on each square to measure its perimeter.
4 Select the Area Tool. Click on each square to measure its area.
5 Select the angle tool. Measure all the angles in the triangle.
6 Save the file.
Activity 4: Using the Spreadsheet View
• Show the Spreadsheet View.
• Select Horizontal Splitting for the Spreadsheet View.

Construction Steps:
1 In the Spreadsheet view, click on cell A1. Type LH for length of Hypotenuse.
2 Click on cell B1. Type AH for the area of Hypotenuse”.
3 Click on cell C1. Type L1L for the length of Leg 1.
4 Click on cell D1. Type A1L the area of Leg 1.
5 Click on cell E1. Type L2L for the length of Leg 2.
6 Click on cell F1. Type A2L for the area of Leg 2.
7 Save the file.

Drag Points A, B or C to explore the lengths and areas of the squares. Fill in
the respective cells and make a conjecture.

Activity 5: Parameters of a Linear Equation
Preparations
Open new GeoGebra file.
Show the Algebra View, Input Bar, and Coordinate
Axes (View menu).
Construction Steps
1 Create sliders m and c using the default settings of sliders.

Enter the line: y=m x+c.
Hint: Don’t forget to use asterisk or space to indicate multiplication!
3 Select Insert Text Tool and type a for dynamic text
4 Determine Slope (triangle) of the line.
5 Enhance the appearance of your construction.
Activity 6: Inscribed Polygon to visualize area of circle
Preparations
Open a new GeoGebra file. Show the Input Bar.
Hide the Spreadsheet View, Algebra View, Coordinate Grid, and Coordinate Axes.
Select Options LabellingNo New Objects.
Construction Steps
Point A and Point B where length of AB = 1 unit.
Circle through B with centre A. Circle [A, B].
Slider n with increment of 1, min 3 and max 300.
Rotate [B, 3600
/n, A].
Polygon [B, B’, n].
Drag slider n.
