Thank you for your dedication to saving and improving kids’ lives
across our region, and around the world. Through your bold and
innovative fashion shows, CAISA continues to be an outstanding
partner and champion of kids’ health. Children’s Health Foundation
is very grateful for CAISA’s ongoing support – and we thank
you for working so hard to truly make a difference in the lives of
the children and families we support. Over the past 14 years,
CAISA has raised over $200,000 for Children’s Hospital at London
Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Health Research Institute and
Thames Valley Children’s Centre. Your generosity is positively
impacting the full spectrum of care for the kids who need it most.
Last year, Children’s Hospital and our dedicated health care
partners received nearly 107,000 visits from patients who need
our help to overcome obstacles to their optimal health and
wellness. Thanks to our incredible supporters, like CAISA, patients
have access to gold standard equipment and specialized
programs that positon Children’s Hospital as a place of hope and
healing. Your support is also creating opportunities for young
people with disabilities to discover new found self-esteem and
lifelong interests. Your donations are mobilizing researchers to
create innovative solutions that foster hope and resiliency for kids
struggling with conditions that compromise their quality of life.
Your support is meaningful, and it is valued. Thank you

children and adolescents who need our help to overcome

I am thrilled for you to be joining us on this very special night, at
the 18th annual CAISA Fashion Show. This year’s program, Paragon,
follows the journey of an individual faced with the harsh realities of
a dystopian world, driven by a desire to seek justice and revolution.
Tonight’s performance will be nothing short of captivating as
you witness on stage a dystopian masterpiece of beautiful
clothes, moving performances, and a vivid, enthralling storyline.
Our partnership with the Children’s Health Foundation is what drives
us to work our hardest year after year. Thanks to the generosity of all
our supporters, sponsors and donors, CAISA Fashion Show is proud
to present $30,000 to the Personalized Medicine Research unit,
which specializes in research and clinical treatment of personalized
medicine solutions for both children and adults alike. Many drugs
for chronic diseases and illnesses have side effects that can create
permanent damage to the patient, and personalized medicine
strives to resolve this issue by tailoring distinct drug selections and
dosagestoeachpatient’sgeneticmakeup.Thankyou,ouraudience
members, for being here tonight and contributing to this cause.
Our humble beginnings started at the Wave with an audience of
a mere hundred, and now, 18 years later, CAISA Fashion Show has
become iconic in its tremendous achievements in philanthropy,
high-caliber performances, and impressive fashion artistry. Our
executive team, models, and performers have put countless hours
and their heart and soul into pushing creative boundaries and
leaving a monumental mark in our community. I am extremely
blessed to have worked with such passionate, enthusiastic and
driven individuals who inspire me everyday. One team, one dream.

A L P H A
Alphas are the model citizens of Paragon. Rigid and obedient,
they relish in its strict structure. They are rewarded by their
Leader for their blind loyalty and unwavering trust. They hold
roles in government, enforcement, and are the ruling members of
society. Comfortable, the Alphas cannot see past the fascination
with their leader, but one of these Alphas is not like the others.

The Betas follow without question. They are content with the
illusion of a perfect life, unwilling to open their eyes to the
truth. Their slumber is about to be interrupted by a rebel
who has broken away from the Alphas looking to enlighten
the other classes. Her challenges are only beginning as she
tries to unveil the inner workings of Paragon to its citizens.

G A M M A
Paragon’s Leader is quick to spot an outlier in her seamless
society. She tries to regain control by interrupting the rebel’s
plan for recruitment. The thought of one Alpha gone rogue
has the Leader questioning her power and becoming frustrated
at her inability to maintain perfection. Her desire for total
control comes out of an aversion to spontaneity and crisis.
Hurt once by the unpredictable in her past, her desperate
lust for order becomes her shield. But one cannot control
everything, and even the strongest societies have a weakness.

Darkness cascades over Paragon. The Leader, with no
tolerance for rebellion, uses force quickly. The other citizens
are shocked at the unwarranted violence toward the seemingly
innocent Alpha. The citizens begin to doubt their leader,
with the flaws of Paragon shining through its now widening
cracks. The once perfect exterior of their society falls
apart revealing a foundation of deception and corruption.

Revolution is inevitable. The escape of the Alpha has produced
too much momentum to be diverted – there is no turning back.
Darkness suffocates Paragon’s last remaining light. Citizens come
together and push against the barricades of corruption that have
surrounded them for so long. With great struggle, the Leader
is overpowered and finally relinquishes her control over the
citizens. Free at last, the citizens regain their humanity. The rebel
looks upon the liberated society of Paragon with a new hope.
