- Facetalk Prof. dr. Stefaan Berge, afdelingshoofd Mond-, kaak- en aangezichtschirurgie laat ons FaceTalk zien. FaceTalk is een zorginnovatieproject waarbij gespecialiseerde projectleiders helpen poli's virtueel te maken voor bijvoorbeeld consulten op afstand. FaceTalk is net als een 'echt' consult face-to-face door een hoogwaardige beeldverbinding. Daardoor kunnen patiënten niet alleen vertellen wat voor gezondheidsprobleem zij ondervinden, maar het probleem ook daadwerkelijk laten zien. De zorgverlener kijkt mee via het beeldscherm. Ook is het mogelijk om meer deelnemers uit te nodigen voor het gesprek, zoals een specialist, de eigen huisarts, een lotgenoot of een mantelzorger. Een FaceTalk-videogesprek komt eenvoudig tot stand via internet en een (ingebouwde) webcamera van de eigen device. Een internetverbinding en e-mailadres volstaan. Vanuit een persoonlijk online Videobeladresboek kan direct videocontact worden gelegd met een patiënt of collega, maar ook met een mantelzorger of dienstaanbieder. FaceTalk is een innovatie van Radboudumc REshape Center en wordt ondersteund door de provincie Gelderland.

In de nieuwbouw van het Radboudumc is er veel aandacht voor energiezuinig ontwerpen van gebouwen en installaties. En bijvoorbeeld voor het gebruik van duurzame materialen. Zo is het gerenoveerde A-gebouw van energielabel F naar A+ gegaan. Voor een monumentaal pand is dit een zeer hoge score. De CO2-uitstoot is na de renovatie verlaagd met ongeveer 12%, terwijl toch meer ruimten koeling krijgen.
