2. Lesson Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
• describe how communication is influenced by
media and information;
• identify the similarities and differences of media
literacy, information literacy, and technology
literacy;
• and discuss responsible use of media and
information.
3. Learning Task 1:
Think of the past week, and record your use and interaction with media and
information providers such as the internet, social media, TV, radio, newspaper, etc.
Indicate how many hours you spent with each one. These do not have to be exact,
and you can estimate the number of hours you spend each week.
4. Group Activity
• Divide the class into 3 groups.
• Create a short skit depicting life before and after media technology.
• Each group will be given 5 minutes to plan and brainstorm. Another 5 minutes to
practice and 5 minutes for the presentation.
• Write the members of the groups and their roles on 1 whole sheet of paper.
• After the skit, answer the questions on Learning Task 2
