3. Our Mission: The UNCW Track & Field and Cross
Country program seeks to provide our student-
athletes with opportunities for success in NCAA
Division 1 athletics while supporting their personal
growth as students, citizens, and leaders. Our goal
for each of our athletes is for them to walk across
the stage at graduation with a diploma in one hand
and a championship ring on the other.

4. Our Core Values: While there are many values and
standards that we believe are common and
important within most successful teams, we believe
it all begins with Accountability, Commitment,
Discipline, Sacrifice, and Service.

5. Unless $250,000 can be raised by May 31st,
our program will be eliminated
and one of the most successful sport
programs at UNCW will be no more.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President
has been a member of the Track & Field Team 5 of the
past 12 years (42%).
Since 2010, 7 of the 10 student athletes (70%) sent by UNCW to
The CAA SAAC Leadership Summit have been members of the
Track & Field Team.
Since 2005, 6 of the 11 (55%) student-athletes sent by UNCW
to the NCAA Leadership Conference have been members of
the Track & Field Team.
