This document provides an agenda for two psychology sections covering emotions, stress, coping, and psychological disorders. The agenda includes introducing key terms, having students work in groups to learn different psychological models and create practice test questions, completing a diagnostic quiz in pairs to identify disorders and treatments, taking a student-generated practice test, and briefly reviewing for the upcoming exam.

Announcements: (1 min)
-Final is on Wednesday, March 18th from 4:00pm-7:00 pm. Same classroom!
Practice Test (15 min total)
-Before making the test, have them watch a video on the theories of emotion Stop at
3:14

After video, explain Modern biopsychological view of emotion.
-Making questions (10 Min)
Students will group into pairs.
Assign them a term. They will then come up with a multiple choice question
based on the term.
**Optional** Make another possible question if they finish early.
Every group hands in their questions to you. Let them know that you will be
taking the test at the end of section
Now we will get into groups of 4 and I will assign a paradigm to each group. I want each of the
groups to become experts on the paradigm assigned to you. Afterwards we will go around and
share the information you acquired on your paradigm.

2. Cognitive Model
We will now be discussing some of the psychological disorders very briefly that we will be
discussing in class on Thursday. I will be providing you with a definition of the disorder and
some of the symptoms associated with the disorder
Review of the Psychological Disorders (7 min)
-Anxiety Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, and Schizophrenia
-Refer to the Disorders Definition Worksheet
With that being said, I would like you to get into pairs and work on the Diagnostic Test
Psychological Disorder Diagnostic Test (10 min)
-Have students get into pairs.
-Directions: Diagnose each patient with a potential psychological disorder. Based on
the diagnosis, provide a potential treatment
-Have students provide the name of the model the treatment corresponds to
REMEMBER: WHILE STUDENTS ARE WORKING ON THIS, TYPE THE QUESTIONS
THEY HAVE CREAED.
Review answers to the Diagnostic Test (5 min)
-At the end of the activity, go over the disclaimer (just in case they did not read it). You
can also express your views about labeling people, giving diagnosis, treatments, etc.
-If any students have questions on the treatments, refer to the extra information worksheet
Now students take out a sheet of paper, we will be taking the test you have created. (10 min)
Taking the test (5 min)
-Everyone takes sheet of paper (half sheet is fine). You then test everyone on
the questions.
-Students switch papers with someone and they grade their papers.
Review (5 min)
-Go over any questions and clarify anything that may have been confusing.
Exam Review (9 min)
Bye class! (5 min)
- Say farewells and inform students about evals. Make sure you assign one
responsible person to take the envelope back to the Psych office.
