CAKE BATTER
TRUFFLES
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of yellow cake mix
1/2 cup of unsalted butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 tsp teaspoon of vanilla
1/8 tsp teaspoon of salt
3-4 tbsp tablespoons of milk
2 tbsp tablespoons of sprinkles (your choice!)
Coating:
16 oz (8 squares) of vanilla flavoured candy coating or white
chocolate
Directions:
1. Beat together butter and sugar using an electric mixer until combined. Add cake
mix, flour, salt and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Add 3-4 tablespoons of milk and mix
in sprinkles by hand.
2. Roll dough into one-inch balls and place on parchment paper or wax paper on a
cookie sheet, chill balls in the refrigerator or freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
3. While the balls are chilling, melt vanilla coating/white chocolate in the microwave
in 30 second intervals until melted, stir between intervals or use a double boiler on
medium-high heat while continually stirring to prevent burning.
4. Using a popsicle stick, dip truffles into melted coating and gently twirl around to
remove excess coating. Dip truffle in coating of choice (sprinkles, chocolate,
coconut etc).
5. Chill truffles in the refrigerator or until ready to serve!
