World War I and World War II caused immense damage across Europe and contributed to the formation of the European Union, which has maintained peace between member states for over 50 years. The document discusses how conflicts were once common in Europe, but since the creation of the EU, the continent has been largely free of wars between countries that are now united in the union.

2. Throughout the history of Europe there have been a wide range of
conflicts either political issues or wars that have had a great
repercussion in the development of the current European Union;
conflicts such big as the First and Second World War took place
in Europe contributing to form the bases of our European Union.
Since 1800, Europe has suffered different kind of problems. We
are going to go through them since that year up to now.
