WHY CHOOSE AOC OVER
COPPER CABLES
The signal of a long copper cable will be
slower and weaker the longer the cable is.
AOC signals are lossless because they run at
the speed of light no matter the cable length.
For electrical signal to travel further the
cable metal cores need to be thick and rigid,
making it more cumbersome to manage.
AOCs are thin, flexible and rugged enough to
route behind walls at all lengths up to 100
meter.
Long copper cable links require additional
power amplifiers to extend signals, which
increases power consumption.
Active optical cables at long lengths require no
additional power and consume the same
power as a short cable.
