2. Company History NYCE Networks is a privately owned, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada based Technology Company. We specialize in the development of innovative HD-IPTV, Telephony and Internet products and solutions for the residential and commercial market segments Our ability to design, produce and manufacture its products leverages off of the recent advances in POF technology, allowing for greater network distances and higher bandwidths as well as NYCE’s historical technical capabilities as a full-turn electronic product design house. Our solutions use Plastic Optic Fiber (POF) as the primary delivery mechanism NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential
3. Our Mission is: To develop and deploy Innovative Technology Solutions in HD-IPTV Networking, Telephony and Internet that meet or exceed the needs of our customers world-wide. NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential
4. World-wide Markets / Service Providers Challenges Industry’s focus is on Triple-Play services & home networks Increasing (ARPU) Average-Revenue-Per-home Retro-fit Vs. New Build There are 140+ million existing homes within North America , 105+ million in Europe, 127+ million in Asia with standard Cat-3 telephony cable which need a retro-fit Triple Play solution NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential
5. The Opportunity: Service providers require a solution that; Increases bandwidth and quality of service within the premise Eliminates electro-magnetic interference (EMI) within the residential or commercial network Replaces existing phone receptacles with flexible networking and communication end points Leverages existing Cat-3 networks for telephony and network power Easily deploys in both new and retro-fit environments with little required training for the telecommunication installers NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential
6. The Solution: NYCE has designed products to provide effective solutions; Our patent pending networking products eliminate EMI, enabling our partners to deliver safe, simple and cost effective home-centric solutions Our POF products allow the delivery of reliable, high-bandwidth home networking solutions with data rates of up to one Gigabit, providing revolutionary support for HD-IPTV The Nyce product line is designed for ease of installation, by professional installers and home owners, within new or retrofit environments NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential

17. Cost- Because of the improvements in the POF cable and accessories it is now considered by most people to be the most cost effective system to install in a new installation, or for a major system upgrade.
18. Maintenance- Optical fiber systems are considered the most reliable for data communications. Some companies claim that maintenance and down time is less than 20% of what is required for copper systems.
19. Ease of Use - Many copper installers learn fiber and eventually find that it is easier to install without problems and if there are faults, they are easier to identify and correct. Plastic Fiber is installed and connectorized with simple hand tool.
20. Safety- Optical fiber is a dielectric and does not carry electricity. It is intrinsically safe. A 650nm red LED, safe to the naked eye, is a visual cue for a connected device
21. Security - Eavesdropping, with a copper cable, is easy, but with fiber, a tap will introduce an error, and a detectable loss.
22. Electromagnety Immunity - Unlike copper cables, POF does not pick up or radiate (EMI) electromagnetic radiation. POF offers a high standard of error-free transmission & can be run close to high voltage cables.
23. Light Weight - Plastic fiber is a fraction of the weight of copper with a weight ratio of about 3:1.
24. Small Size- A fiber optic cable is smaller than its copper counterpart. A plastic fiber might be as little as 960 microns in diameter, about the diameter of a nail. A fiber optic cable will often replace several copper pair because of the greater signal carrying capacity.
25. Simplex & Duplex- 1 mm (960um) plastic fiber cable is the most common size and consists of one or two fibers. It is small being about 1.2mm for simplex and about 2.5mm for duplex.
26. Splicing & Connecting – Simply cut ends square with cutter and push into sleeve connectors.
27. Installation– Can be installed in raceway of any type The minimum bend radius for the 1.00mm plastic fiber optic cable would generally be about 40 to 50 times the outer diameter of the jacketed fiber. NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential

32. Conclusions Our first OEM Partner, SMC Networks, will work closely with Telecomm Companies and distributors world-wide. POF is now being used by early adopters for consumer IPTV applications Guaranteed QoS: (EMI free, dedicated channel bandwidth) Fast and easy installation (Self-Install options possible) Low cost implementation in the box plus additional savings on installation time and installed cost Embedded POF port solutions are now appearing from STB and Residential Gateway manufactures. NYCE is the only company to have engineered a systemic solution of products for designing and deploying a POF network in a residential or commercial environment. Our goal is to form other strategic OEM partnerships world wide. NYCE Networks, Inc Confidential
