3. MARIDAW
YACHT MUSEUM
The concept is inspired by the WallyPower//118 Yacht.
Materials used on the yacht are new and innovative materials.
The concept also focuses on the importance of integrating land
and water. The structure is derived from the original shape and
structure of the boat. The diagrams focus on showing the site
evolution as well as the design process. Longitudinal Concrete
forms stretch throughout the building and tend to create indoor
and outdoor spaces. The main aim is revive the relationship
between human beings and the sea, making the building serve
as a safe port that stretches on both, land and sea. The final
site results into a Promenade that strecthes from one corner
to the opposite corner, resulting in various significant outdoor
spaces. Dubai Maritime City is strategically located north of the
main city center and creek area business district, between port
Rashid and Dubai Dry Docks.

4. MARIDAW
YACHT MUSEUM
The project consititutes of four levels including the basement.
The main entrance lies at the basement floor where it gives the
illusion of rising from under- ground to ground to water.
The elevations are a representation of a powerful structure
holding the building together. They intend to give a smooth form
towards the sea. Concrete forms rise from the lowest point to
the highest and penetrate the building at points were they tend
to form indoor spaces as well as define their functionalilty. This
render represnts the entrance lobby where it exhibits a certain
category of boats that belong to old ages. Visitors need to be
exposed to the history of Maritime life before heading to the
luxury.
7. The concept is derived by the Labyrinth [Greek Mythodol-
ogy] which focuses on one central idea. The main purpose
of the tower is to link ideas, words, tasks and guide towards
one specific zone. The design approach began classifying
zones according to studentsโ needs. The classification hap-
pened through a section of the building representing slabs
and walls and their connectivity, allowing maximum use of
space and providing comfortable spaces to accomodate
studentsโ needs.
Site was chosen in UAE, Dubai, near Al Jaddaf Metro
Station. The site is surrounded by Cultural buildings, as well
as, Libraries, Artistic Educational Schools, Galleries, and the
Middle East Museum of Modern Art. This area represents a
friendly and sociable area providing all needs for students.

Year Completed - 2012
Type - Single Family
Builder - Modern Shelter

Mission - Remodeling the House from start to
finish using REVIT
The project consititutes of two levels including the basement
car parking. The main entrance lies at the corner of the villa,
with a little bit of landscaping around it.
The choice of materials is interesting, as well as, their
contrast with one another, one of the main reasons that
encouraged me to model this villa. This Villa is an existing
one and was 3D modeled by me using REVIT Software
and Adobe Photoshop. The row of pictures below represent
original photos of the villa, while the renders to the right
represent a replica done by me.

Magnificent views towards the city from atop Siglap Hill
inspired the design. Master and family room are placed on
the third level having the best views.
Living and Dining on the second level, connected with
external verandahs / terraces that flow upwards and fold into
the roof form with deep overhangs for sufficient shade and
channeling the breeze through the whole house.
Two resort style โCabanaโ bedrooms are located on the
ground level by the pool with a large open/covered terrace
for poolside parties. Roof gardens and timber decks provide
added insulation from the sun.

10. THE NEXUS
URBAN DESIGN 1
The initial aim was to relate the Urban Design with an
element of the Algerian culture. Algerian dance and body
movement characterizes the motion happening within the
site. The NEXUS represents a promenade embracing
different functions simultaneously. At one point it seperates
different zones, at another point it represents a connection
through a green roof, a water feature, a platform, and bridg-
es integrated within residential buildings.of the site.
12. THE URBAN NEST
URBAN DESIGN 2
T he design solution is to converge the old and the new
without imposition and disruption. The entire project which
is composed of the building shell and landscape is a motiff
reminiscent of the pre-existing Sikkas projected in order
to maintain the same identity but allow modernism to be
integrated. Through this modern interpretation of Bastakiya,
the modularity of the buildings and the chaotic shell and
landscape creates an iconic and much needed contem-
porary landmark that aims to revive the area in a modern
context.
13. THE FUTURE SMALL BUSINESS
EXHIBITION
The Future of Small Business Exhibition was held by Dr.
Chuloh Jung and embraced different aprroaches and
designs to Atelier concepts. The projects were no more
than two story building excluding basements. Situated in
the heart of Dubai, Jumeira road with direct access from the
Beach road, T Atelier focused on creating design contrast.
The design contrast took place between two building
materials; Glass and Concrete. One side of the project is
completely transparent while the other was pure concrete.
Facade design was based on Interior spaces, their fuction-
ality, and connectivity with one another. Spaces that require
specific amount of light have been studied and granted the
location for that.
