OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE
1. Antihistamine treats allergic rhinitis such as
sneezing, runny and itchy nose and itchy
watery eyes.
It can also relieve itchiness caused by insect
bites, skin infection, and allergic reaction to
food.
2. Antidiarrheal is a type of medicine
that stops or slow diarrhea or the
frequent passage of a watery loose stool
3. Antacid are medication that
neutralizes stomach acid. It may be
liquid or tablets that can be dissolve
in water to drink.
4. Analgesic are pain killer or pain
reliever, a medicine used to relieve
pain or discomfort caused by disease,
injury or surgery.
Simple painkillers are OTC drugs but
painkillers to treat severe pain like
narcotics need prescription from a
doctor.
5. Antipyretic is a medication
used to lower body temperature
or reduce fever.
6. Antiseptic is a substance
applied to the body to reduce
the risk of infection and stop the
spread of germs.
7. Decongestant is a medicine that
relieves congestion by reducing
swelling. Inflammation and mucus
formation the nasal passages or
the eye. It is a relief for congestion
of the nose and sinuses like
blocked or stuffy nose (nasal
congestion).
8. Laxative also called purgative
is a substance that loosens or
softens stool and increases
bowel movement.
This medicine is used to treat
and prevent constipation or hard
bowel movement.
OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE
1. Antihypertensive a medicine that
is used to lower blood pressure.
2. Antidepressant treats
symptoms of depression. Inability
to sleep, eat, emotional outbursts
and hallucinations
3. Antibiotic is a medicine that fights
bacterial infections
