Commercial Contractors across the United States struggle with a lack of capital
solutions mainly due to the fact that lenders do not like their industry vertical
because of cash flow issues that occur. Rainstar Capital Group has become one of a
handful of approved private label partners with a lender that provides Commercial
Contractors a revolving line of credit product that is used for the purchase of
supplies. Rainstar Capital Group handles the underwriting, due diligence,
processing and works hand in hand with the lender to fund our clients that are
Commercial Contractors.
LENDER’S CONTRACTOR FINANCING PROGRAM
1. What We Do:
The lender is one of the few resources that Sub Contractors and General
Contractors have that can strengthen their cash flow. Their underwriting process is
not based on the client’s FICO score but base their financial decisions on the
strength of the client’s projects and jobs.
They provide revolving lines of trade credit that pays the client’s supply house in
ten days or less (providing the client with an early pay discount from their
supplier). Then the client is required to pay the lender back within 150 days. The
funding amounts are from $50,000 to $10,000,000.

As a Sub Contractor cash flow is always a challenge. They are always the last one
to get paid and this product always contractors to address this issue while being
able to bid on more jobs to grow their company revenues!

Examples of the Lenders Clients:
Landscape Company
I met with the CEO and the CFO of a $22mm Landscaping company. They had an
existing bank line of $500k. They said they didn’t need the money! OK, I said
how many jobs did you walk away from last year because of cash flow issues?
They said 2. I asked what was the total dollar amount on those two jobs? The
“Answer” $10mm. I asked, so if you had our line in place you would be a $33mm
landscaping company today…I received a completed application within 24 hours.
$6mm sub using a factoring company
They were working with a factor that required joint checking and lock box. This
put restrictions on bidding larger jobs. Once they put our facility in place they
didn’t have those restrictions and within 6 months they grew to be a $9mm
company.
A Flooring/Framing company: $75mm in sales and $75mm in logged jobs
Their bank of 6 years asked this $75mm company to leave the bank because they
were growing too fast and they were out of ratios. It was a smaller bank and the
sub was growing too fast (they had $13mm in A/R and $75mm in future projects).
A factoring company came in to take over the receivable (the past) and coupled
with our program to fund the future. They are working through huge growth
disruptors with our help.
