- 1. The Lord Is With You by Adam Woeger
At some point, in almost every person’s life, they will likely face some sort of problem. I believe that God is
not the author of sickness or disease, but instead their source is the devil. He is a thief and murderer who is
looking for every opportunity to attack you. God protects us from many attacks, and also warns us to defend
ourselves through prayer, His Wisdom, and the study of God’s Word. The enemy’s biggest tool is doubt and
unbelief. He will deceive you into accepting as fact lies about your circumstances. God wants you to believe
what He says about you. Everything that you are going through is preparing you for your future destination.
Life is a series of choices that you make, which help to determine the end result. Trials and problems help to
challenge us, to rely and depend on God in every area of our life. Every true Believer in Jesus Christ has so
many promises from God to rely on. The key is to learn, and properly apply, God’s Commands. “Wherein ye
greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That
the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire,
might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye
love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:6-9. “Blessed is the man that
endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised
to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted
with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust,
and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth
death.” James 1:12-15. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord.” Romans 6:23. You are to walk by faith. “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7.
Faith is having total dependence upon God and His Promises. Prayer demonstrates your dependence on God.
Sin demonstrates your desire to live life independently from God, His Instructions, and His Many Blessings.
Since God can not lie, He is faithful to honor His Word in all situations. Many people get into trouble when
they do not know the conditions God requires of us, in order for Him to fulfill His Promises from His Word.
Every invitation for self-indulgence, and to be self-reliant, is not from God. God requires that you turn from,
and repent of, your sins, that you follow His Ways, and draw near to Him. Intimacy with God, demands that
you believe and trust Him, and obey His Commands. Always appreciate, believe, reverence, and honor God.
Be a good steward. Treat your body with the respect that it deserves, being The Temple Of The Holy Spirit.
Pray to God, and consult with Him first, when decisions need to be made for situations that arise in your life.
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God
hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean
thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith
the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18. The Lord desires to always be in fellowship with you. “Draw
nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...” James 4:8. You need to maintain the relationship with Jesus,
by always seeking after Him and His Righteousness, and keeping your relationship pure. See Matthew 6:33.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose.” “...If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:28,31. God expects us
to always love and be obedient to Him. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
