Product Name
	 Tropicana Orange Juice
Target Group
	 Tropicana is focused towards children becasuse they like to drink juice. Orange juice is a
great way to start your day. Tropicana offeres a variety of sizses of their juice so it is easy to pack
and go. You can take your orange juice in your lunch for school, to the park, or even on a road
trip. These sizses come with lids or with a straw to limit the mess and spill for mom and dad.
Children love their juice and tropicana is a good source of calcium to make their bones grow
strong.
Product History
	 Tropicana was founded by AnthonyT. Rossi. Rossi founded Tropicana in 1947 and made
his juice available for transport in 1970 by train from Florida to NewYork. Tropicana is the No.
1 buyer of Florida fruit. Tropicana buys more ornages than any other competitor from Florida.
They buy about one third of all oranges grown. Tropicana also buys oranges from Brazil when
the crop isn’t good or mother nature isn’t on their side. The oranges are chosen and monitored
carefully in order to supply the best orange juice possible.
	 The oranges are picked when they are at they are at their peak flavor. They are then te-
ansported to a Tropicana plant and his hand chosen to ensure quality. The orange oil is removed
in order ro extract the tast and aroma of the fruit which is later mixed into the juice once the
oranges are gently squeezed. Tropicana uses flash pasteurization to ensure the juice is safe to
drink. This method of pasteurization was created by their founder AnthonyT. Rossi.
	 Tropicana is available all year to consumers in a variety of store including reswtaurants,
grocery stores, and markets. In order to ensure there is enough product are year their is orange
juice that is stored above freezing temperatures to preserve the quality and freshness. Tropi-
cana orange juice
supplies many health benefits including vitamins and fruit servings.
Product Plan
Product Overview
	 Tropicana is a popular drink that I grew up with. I remeber going grocery shopping and
immediately grabbing a carton and putting it in the shopping cart. Buing any other brand of
orange juice was just not acceptable. I would drink it with my breakfast and have it packed in my
lunch for school.
	 Tropicana is loved and well know because of its great taste. However their packaging
and logo needs some work and is a little out dated. If someone didn’t know the brand name they
wouldn’t be able to tell the carton apart from the other brands. I want to redesign their logo and
packaging to attract the attention of everyone and to stand out on the shelf against the other
juice.
	 While redesigning I will be selecting new colors for their brand and a new design for their
advertisements. I will also be taking several photos in order to increase its appeal to the consum-
er. Today our society is drawn to photographs. I want to be able to have photographs that make
the consumer look at it and immediatelywant Tropicana orange juice.
