1. Good afternoon everyone, I’m Saleena
And I’m Janina
And your’re listening to badboy radio
Let’s jump straight in with what we have lined
up for the show today shall we?
Yeah- Today we visited the Coventry
university sports centre and the hub to ask
people what they thought about sports in
Coventry.
There were some pretty mixed responses, but
here’s what members of staff at the Sports
centre had to say

I think the women’s only teams, like the
football and rugby ones are really good. Its
inclusive and I don’t think many people realise
that some females are just as interested in
sports, even extreme sports.
Yeah but I don’t think having trials is good
because it adds a lot of pressure and might
even take a lot of the fun away from playing.
Yeah definitely and maybe without high
expectations a lot more people would get
involved.
Of course yeah, when I was looking at
societies to join I did see quite a range
though. The prices threw me off a lot! We’re
students, it shouldn’t be so expensive. But
when I went to the sports centre I saw awards
3. for gym of year which really showed us how
good the facilities here must be.
Same, and there’s not just mainstream sports.
There’s smaller ones like table tennis and
ultimate Frisbee which sounds really good.
It does, anyways on to sports news in
general.
Yeah here’s your Coventry sports update with
Jamie. Over to you Jamie
GENERAL SPORTS NEWS
That’s quite exciting since Nick Skelton is quite
local. I’m sure many people will be rooting for him.
Yeah and speaking of local, we have a cricket fan
here in the studio with us right now!
Hello Sean, how do feel about India beating
England?
what kind of effect do you think this will have on
the England team?
Are there any exciting games coming up that we
can look out for?
Sounds good, thank you for that
