2. How does the trailer makes you aware of the film’s opening
date? The trailer makes us aware of when the film is going to be released
through text on a black backdrop, by now I have realized how this is commonly
used in horror movie trailers.
How does the trailer makes you aware of who is in the
film? The main characters are introduced together in a medium close up; two
shot which may signify equal importance.
3. How does the trailer makes you aware of the film’s genre? The trailer
makes us aware of the genre through its dialogue and images as well as the
text which all point towards inhuman entities and also the house (location)
something I’ve referred to in my horror movie conventions section.
How are we given an idea of the films story, the films that may be connected to this
one and the films director?
At the beginning of the trailer the companies that created the film are shown, well known
ones that even on a black backdrop are recognizable, Warner Bros and New Line Cinema.
The Film makers, and its linked to other films, from the directors of Saw and Insidious.
