Responsible for lecturing A Level and BTEC. Focus on the pastoral care of the students and coordinating both the AS and A2 level Graphic Communication
Additional lecturing opportunities specified within the following four bullet point sections
Duties
Planning and delivering a variety of entertaining and engaging courses: A Level Graphic Communication, Level 3 BTEC Diploma Art & Design
Incorporating traditional illustration media and techniques with CAD.
Computer generated lecturing: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
Produced a video library specific to the course material in using the Adobe suite and mixed media – set around the SOW.
Supporting a team of PGCE students
Building relationships with students from a wide range of social backgrounds and medical issues
Promoting equal opportunities in the classroom
Ensuring that students are taught in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
Promoting the college via Open evenings and days
Attending parent evenings and giving guardians feedback on a student’s progress
Networking with Solent University – organising annual workshops for AS students to attend linked to SOW
Implementing all of the policies and procedures of the college
Teaching according to a student’s educational needs and ability
Providing students with guidance on educational and social matters relating to their studies and future careers
Writing up regular one to ones, Interim assessments, detailed typed reports on each student at the end of every term
Keep all teaching materials up-to-date to meet the needs of the learner and the ‘ever’ changing art & design environment
Control of the budget
The set up of the end of year exhibition and moderation

Sick leave cover - BTEC Art & Design First Diploma students for three hours a week. A challenging group of students that had completed three quarters of their
qualification with another tutor. Overall the group were demanding as the majority had a variety of learning difficulties. This was an opportunity to adapt teaching skills
to restructure an effect method to encourage them to learn and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
Boredom Busters 2002-2002
Bournemouth Borough Council Child Play Summer Scheme
Team leader/Playworker - Responsible for the welfare a group of staff and fifty children aged from four to eleven. The play scheme was set up at a local park with

activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, talent shows and face painting.
