ACHIEVEMENTS AS A PROCUREMENT OFFICER
1. Contracts/projects management
Over years I have attained a lot of professional expertise in projects/contracts management which in
turn has enabled me ensure the value for money is achieved and high end products/services are
achieved by the organization. Effective contracts/project management enables an organization to not
only realise its key objectives but also enhance performance of the business.
2. Tender/bidding processes
In 2012, I was part of the team that was trained and later implemented a robust tender management
process that involves a robust process of bid evaluation and selection criterion which is aimed at
ensuring that vendors selected meet the minimum requirements as set out in the bidding guidelines of
the organization.
3. Supplier relationship management
Over the years I have attained a lot of knowledge and skill in maintaining and managing supplier
relations and expectations as one of the key stakeholders to the business. This has been achieved
through identifying customer (both internal and external) requirements and eventually providing
customer satisfaction.
In 2010 I was part of the team that successfully managed the Supplier day that aimed at ensuring that
both the organization and suppliers understand was is expected from the other party for successful
future engagements and emphasizing feedback as the key to effective communication.

Eskom Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of Eskom Enterprises (Pty) Limited a South African company and
generates hydro power from Nalubaale and Kiira power stations. It contributes over 65% of electricity to the
national grid. I am part of the professional team and the role played and some of the outputs are outlined
below:

Implement procurement procedures and action plans
Prepare and issue timely procurement performance reports
Prepare records and presentations for monthly performance review meetings
Implement the framework for preparation of bidding documents and requests for proposals in
accordance with the procurement procedures
Implement the bidding processes of goods, works and services in accordance with standard Tender
procedures
Implement guidelines and frameworks for bid evaluation and selection process using the Technical and
Commercial Evaluation
Implement a system for contract management in the procurement process and provide technical
support to user departments

Implement mitigation measures to curb the risk inherent in the procurement process

Carry out mentoring and coaching for the Procurement Assistant and trainees
