CAREER SUMMARY:-
Sep 2013 – Present
Contracted to a northern District Council to manage a Data Centre relocation program initially. Incorporating a
new Cisco UCS environment to integrate with legacy systems prior to the move. Delivering multiple projects
including CheckPoint - End Point security infrastructure, internal Oracle migrations to the Cloud, Egress security
integrating with Exchange, WAN network upgrade programs across entire estate. Managed MS-Surface Hub
project for new building AV requirements, Windows 8.1 to endpoint tablets & mobiles all using Agile
methodologies. Primarily a Prince2 domain, implementing Agile demonstrated speedier project delivery,
maintained on time and to budget projects, this soon became accepted by management as a valuable, cost saving
and quality delivery mechanism.
FEB 2007 TO SEP 2013
Contracted to STS Communications Ltd as Technical Project Manager to plan and manage all customer Data
Centre migrations and consolidation projects for MOD UK sites using my SC clearance. Introduced a blend of
Prince2 and Agile methods into a predominantly Prince2 centric MOD environment. Agile methods were well
received and highly praised on delivering quality, to time and budget.
Sep 2006 to Feb 2007
Consultant for Pfizer to investigate and plan the implementation of VMware on new Sun Server infrastructure in
Belgium. Focusing on defining a total Data Centre VMWare solution on new Sun X64 Technology servers and plan
the migration and integration of existing SunFire servers from Sandwich in Kent.
April 2006 to Sep 2006
Contracted to EDS Defence to plan, manage and define new service offerings and upgrade schemes to replace
tired services and tool sets, which were to be phased out. I was also responsible for the definition of resource
requests under matrix management and planning of a new Secure Data Centre for EDS Defence in Gloucester. It
was required to provide a secure infrastructure to support the latest secure email and Oracle applications service
provisioning.
Jan 2004 to April 2006
Contracted to Sun Microsystems Ltd in London as a Technical Project Manager. I was responsible for planning
and managing the deployment of Data Centre relocations and consolidations. Prime customer was BP Europe for
the redeployment and consolidation of their UK and European Data Centres along with many applications into the
Docklands at Global Switch. The last phase of the BP plan was to be on-site full time at Bochum Germany
regarding the investigation and planning the migration and consolidation of many major applications and
Databases like Oracle and BEA Web Logic services, together with defining a technical refresh of the server
platforms. Whilst working for Sun I was responsible for planning and managing the redeployment of secure data
centres for EDS, Centrica, AON and most of their respective customers. Provided phase one procedures and
costing for all new projects e.g. EDS for the Met Police regarding a relocation of their data centre in London for
early 2006.

2. Dec 2002 to Jan 2004
Contracted to Phoenix Managed the installation of 9,600 Windows XP desktops rolled-out under 2003 Active
Directory for the MOD/QinetiQ. Responsible for overseeing the deployment of image builds to desktop and laptop
hardware via Power Quest Imaging software and Radia for additional client applications. Oracle databases were all
upgraded as part of the DII plan directive as provided by Atlas(EDS/Fujitsu/DG/Logica).
Dec 2001 to Dec 2002
Atlas Consortium Group I was involved in using my network and comms knowledge to perform the Due diligence
site surveys for the DII project via EDS/Cogent/LogicaCMG/Fujitsu. The deliverable was a full audit report per
MOD site of technology infrastructure status, encompassing applications functionality and interdependencies, with
recommendations of upgrade plans for network infrastructure and server services from an overall network
perspective.
Jan 1995 to Dec 2001 USA
UNIX DELIVERY TECHNICAL CONSULTANT: Compucom Systems Inc
Responsible for developing technical resources to deliver HP, SCO, Solaris
Became the technical management resource for major clients within CA, USA
Utilised technical abilities to control the rollout of major upgrades & resilient server deployment
Developed standard client images to be downloaded to client PCs’ front-end interfaces
