8. In
my
first
career
I
worked
in
a
program
that
helped
low-‐income
families
with
children
ages
0
–
3
on
child
development
and
parenFng
skills.
Some
of
these
families
had
their
rights
terminated;
some
had
drug
and/or
mental
health
issues;
some
were
vicFms,
survivors,
abusers.
All
loved
their
children.
Sadly,
most
could
not
parent
with
understanding.
9. Most
of
my
career
has
been
teaching
young
people
how
to
think,
assess,
and
evaluate
themselves
and
where
they’re
headed
in
life.
10. But
in
the
midst
of
that
I
spent
three
years
training
adults
on
medical
soCware.
This
really
taught
me
how
to
help
adult
learners
and
how
to
design
lessons
for
their
ability
and
assess
what
they’d
learned.
11. Plus
I
brought
websites
into
alignment
with
university
standards
using
Content
Management
Systems.
Like
this
one.
13. In
fact,
I
created
the
PC
Career
Center’s
very
first
web
site
with
no
programming
background
and
one
basic
html
class.
That
Means
I’m
a
Fast
Learner
14. But
I
never
forgot
my
love
of
children
and
decided
to
complete
Foster
Parent
Training,
foster
and
adopt
a
beauFful
liSle
girl.
15. Oh,
and
my
pets
are
always
adopted
–
never
from
a
pet
store.
16. That
means
I’m
compassionate
and
pracFce
loving-‐kindness
in
both
my
home
and
work
life.
