The story Is about a man in his early
thirties who grew up in an unstable
environment, with abusive parents. He
was constantly moved from care home
to care home when her was younger.
This caused him to have severe
depression

where there is a high crime rate. The
story is told through his point of view,
and the audience would get to see
both sides to his true personality.

causes him to be forced into a darker

to do the external shots
on a council estate but
film the internal shots
elsewhere.
My working title for my Short Film is ’’ I found the story ‘Salience’ in the Thriller section on the Website Good Reads. After reading the story through I liked the storyline and would like to use

At 13 he was taken away from his parents and was constantly moved from care home to care home. This unstable childhood caused him to have severe depression. He lives in a run down council estate where there is a high crime rate. The story is told through his point of view, and the audience would get to see his true personality. The audience also sees him battling with his demons as his depression forces him into a darker situation that is difficult to get out of.

The audience of my short film would be aged 15 or over. They would live in council estates as it would relate to Jacobs situation more and they would connect with him. The audience would be mostly male, even though there would be some females in the audience who can relate to the characters situation. The audience could have any job. The story could raise awareness for people with mental health issues.
The audiences favorite films would be Thriller or Action films. Also, the audience would have either and average income or a low income which would relate to Thomas’ situation more. Furthermore, they would wear Tracksuits or very casual wear which is what the character Thomas would wear. For Breakfast they would just have simple cereal and orange juice and for dinner they would eat mainly fast food.
The company warner bros. Studios would produce my film. Warner Bros Studios have produced a various amount of different Thriller films. Examples of this are; The Dark Knight, Inception and more recently Dunkirk. All of these films have been successful.
The problems I may encounter is filming in the location I want. I may not be able to film in the exact location that I have in mind when planning my short film. As I am planning to film it on a council estate, I may have to do the external shots on a council estate but film the internal shots elsewhere.
