Years later, Frank is given a chance to take on a new big case when he is the only one who can handle it. The opening scene shows a drunk Frank in a bar after his career has fallen apart. 2. The genre of our film is Family Drama.
It is about a lawyer who sadly looses one of his cases, looses his reputation
and hits rock bottom. Miraculously a big case comes up and he’s the only one
who can do it. Will he succeed?!
It is set in the 18 hundreds, when American civilisations were developing.
The theme is Western.
The message that even when you are at the bottom you should never give up
as you will rise back up to the top once again.
The target audience is working class men, they would like it as it gives them
courage and inspiration to never give up and even if their work is getting
hard, if they keep going they will succeed and get through it.
3. In the opening sequence it starts with Frank sitting down in a bar drinking
huge pints of beer, screaming and shouting at other bar members as he
picks himself up off his chair, wobbling and tripping up. The camera then
starts to go all blurry to portray the way Frank is seeing as he is drunk
trying to get home. The sound also loudens and he starts mumbling. Next
thing you know he has fallen to the floor. Loud bang and the screen goes
blank.
It relates to the rest of the play as it then flashes back to the past where
Frank is a successful young business man, winning all his cases and being
loved by everyone. It then goes onto show a case that Frank stupidly looses
and his career then falls apart because of this. The opening scene is
showing the life that Frank began to have after his reputation went down
hill.
It introduces character and setting as the flashback gives a background
story on the character and film. The successful young man he was
compared to the drunken wreck he is now creates ultimate contrast.
Wins every case then one fails he looses reputation and turns into a lazy
drunk. Then one day he goes out of town and bumps into a stranger and
fakes name and past. He is offered the ultimate case and takes it on. He
succeeds but later on the court finds out that he had forged his name. He
has to go into hiding in order to avoid conviction. Which life is better? One
of hiding or one of drunkenness.
The style is a family drama filled with action and loss of life.
The mood of the film opening is dismay sorrow and self pity.

5. This film has a very particular and unique category which means we
were able to explore different varieties of themes, which we can use
to create an exciting and different film for others. We have been able
to discuss ideas, which have enabled our ideas to be eccentric, such
as the setting to be the wild west. With this setting we have
incorporated ideas from this time in America, using certain traits and
habits which the western public portrayed, although we’ve been very
different to any other film because the character’s emotions are
changing throughout. The target audience is working class men, so
we have chosen a complex story line for them to follow, this makes
the film intriguing for everyone to follow.
6. To promote we will use plane banners over beaches. We
will also put advert posters on busses and in the
underground. We have decided to do this because most
movies are just on trailers but if we put it on a plane
people are more likely to notice it. We will make trailers
that will be posted online and shown on TV adverts.
8. Wild
Productions
Due to our many very famous stars we will have to make our film
very high budget and in order to do this we will be using our
own production ‘Wild productions’ and we will pair up with
‘Paramount’ a very successful and well known production.
