It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation in support of Carla
Perucca. Carla studied in my ESL classroom at high intermediate level for the semester
of Spring 2011. During that time I got to know her as an outstanding student. She was
thoroughly dedicated to her studies and made significant progress in all areas. She has
an impressive command of sophisticated vocabulary and grammar, which she applies
effectively to oral and written assignments. Above all, I was impressed by the quality of
Carla’s compositions, which revealed her to be a person of deep thought and opinion.
She has a respectful manner and is an excellent class participant. She is an enthusiastic
motivator and seems particularly suited to teaching children or young adults. It is my
