This document summarizes the net transfer capacity (NTC) calculations between Armenia and Georgia for winter and summer maximum regimes in 2020 and plans for 2025. It provides the key details of the tie lines between the two countries, describes the NTC calculation steps, and shows the results of the NTC calculations for both winter and summer. The winter NTC is 350 MW from Georgia to Armenia and 300 MW from Armenia to Georgia. The summer NTC is 200 MW from Georgia to Armenia and 150 MW from Armenia to Georgia. Plans for 2025 include a new 500 kV back-to-back HVDC interconnection.

8. Presentation Overview
• New updated Load Flow models should take
into account seasonal thermal limitations in terms
of elements rates.
• New planned Back-to-back HVDC system will be
taken into account in further analyses.
• Taking into account previously mentioned, new
Base Case Power Exchanges between areas should
be adjusted and reviewed.
