The World’s Largest Professional Networking Platform
5 Steps To Finding Your Ideal
Clients On LinkedIn
The fact that you’re reading this PDF is evidence you want to learn how to make LinkedIn work
for you. After all, everyone you’ve ever worked with or know is on LinkedIn, and it’s a
“professional” Social Media site, right?

In my work as a designer, marketer, and digital strategist, I’ve come across many small
business people and coaches who want to know how to use LinkedIn effectively. However, they
don’t understand how it works and therefore hasn’t found it useful.

Here are some amazing reasons for having an optimized profile:

•LinkedIn is the largest professional network. As of April 2021, its membership was over 750
million

•LinkedIn is considered as the most trusted social media platform

•LinkedIn is ranked #1 (96%) amongst B2B marketers as the most important platform for
Social Media Marketing, followed by Facebook and Twitter at 82% each

•LinkedIn is used by more than half of all U.S. marketers.

So, what’s my point? Your audience is on LinkedIn!

The following 5 steps will help to maximize your opportunities for gaining more qualified
business leads on LinkedIn.

I know that you are busy, but optimizing your LinkedIn profile will be worth it. Block off some
time to get it done and if you have questions, send me a message on LinkedIn, I’d be more
than happy to help.

3. Post topics that are relevant to your target audience

4. Mix it up by posting a variety of topics each week. (Industry-

Be Active &
Engage!
4
Liking is good but, commenting is even better!
1. Like posts that interest you

4. Encourage your network by celebrating work anniversaries,
birthdays, and achievements.

Hashtags!
5
LinkedIn hashtags act as categories for the people and
topics you would like to be connected with on the platform.
1. Create your personal branded hashtag and use it everywhere!

2. Find hashtags that are followed by your target audience

3. Place hashtags at the bottom of your posts not in the body of your
caption (they are clickable and will lead your readers away from
your post)

4. Include hashtags in your events posts

5. Do not use more than two lines of hashtags in your posts
So, to recap…
LinkedIn is a valuable resource, use it to get in front of the right people and turn

2. Create a LinkedIn Company Page

3. Level-up your posts on LinkedIn
