Re: Kaitlyn Igo
I was very pleased with the internship that Kaitlyn Igo is completing with the Visitor
Services and Harn Museum Rentals Departments.
Kaitlyn was a huge asset to our organization. Among other responsibilities, Kaitlyn was
actively involved with the following responsibilities.
• Operations Management and Customer Service at the front desk.
• Promoting and Advertising the Rental Program and researching local
competitive venues for wedding related opportunities. She assisted with
the rental rates chart and with the organization of our Business Plan.
• Coordinating the Gallery Guide Program including recruiting, scheduling,
training, and providing program related updates to participants. We
currently have 10 Gallery Guides who are actively assisting at the front
desk, with the Good Life students, providing Art Blast talks, and interacting
with visitors in various other ways/programs. Collectively they volunteered
480 hours this semester.
• Updating the Policies and Procedures Manuals.
• Updated the “Intro to the Harn Museum” Powerpoint.
The Harn Museum Visitor Services Department is critical to the museum and its staff
and visitors. All staff within Visitor Services are expected to deliver an exceptional
experience by providing outstanding customer service while acting in a professional and
informed manner. This is Kaitlyn’s third internship at the Harn. Because of her
knowledge of the museum, she was ready to assist me very quickly.
Kaitlyn performed her duties in at a very high level of professionalism. She was
especially beneficial in editing and written communication. Her strengths also include a
positive attitude, and her dependability. She was a pleasure to work with.
