THIS APP GOAL IS TO PROVIDE
CLOUD STORAGE TO EVERY
COMPUTER USERS.
PROPOSED COURSE OF ACTION IS
TO MAINTAIN CUSTOMER VALUE
AND FOCUS ON TARGET
CUSTOMERS.
SITUATION ANALYSIS
The app will be used to
store documents,
videos, music, games
and many other apps
itself.
There are many competitors like
Dropbox, Google Drive etc.
For this app target
customer will be the
college students, office
workers and it will also be
used by businessmen
GOALS
The is to become paid and popular app on
google store. With huge number of active
users within 2 years.
We should focus on small
goals, we have to start
increasing the income
from the app each month.
The goal is to increase the number of Indian users who are
eager to store their data in these storage apps. We can use a
new technique that includes free service in the beginning
and premium for permanent users.
STRATEGY
This app primarily targets on school
and college students.
After that many
office workers and
businessmen may
also use this app to
store and share their
data.
This app will be used by any kind of institution that
needs a platform to store their important data.
Dropbox is one of the more well known cloud
storage service for consumers and professionals.
Even if you lose your android device, your personal
data will be safe in Dropbox.
Dropbox gives users 2GB of
free cloud storage.
Google drive is a combination of a cloud
storage service and productivity platform.
The can make files available offline so you can
view them when you are not on the internet.
Google Drive gives users 15GB
of free cloud storage.
This app is totally smartphone
based, so there is very less need
of suppliers and channel
members. But we can consider
Google Store as a channel
member for this app.
Customers are value maximizers. For the app to deliver
high customer value it will have to deal with loyalty of
customers. Consumers have varying degree of loyalty to
specific brands, stores, and companies. The value
proposition consists of the whole cluster of benefits the
company promises to deliver; it is more than the core
positioning of the offering.
Quality is the totality of features and characterstics of a product or
service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs.
Companies are also becoming skilled in customer
relationship management(CRM), which focuses on
developing programs to attract and retain the right
customers and meeting the individual needs of
those valued customers.
The app will deal with cloud storage. Many school and
college students are unable to store their important data
due to lack of storage devices. In many educational
institutions the database of their students are stored at
many different places and this creates a problem when they
want to access them instantly. As many external storage
devices can get damaged by external means and this will
hamper the stored data in those storage devices and this
problem is dealt with this cloud storage app
If we talk about promotion then we can
promote this app by sharing its download
links to our family and friends on social
networking sites.
This download link can also be shared on
twitter and Facebook.
We can also promote by
organizing seminars at many
nearby places.
Ads can be made and shared on YouTube for
free.
Free download should be there when user
traffic is less and when the user traffic
increases paid download must be introduced.

In this app we will be able to share the data to various
social networking apps like facebook, twitter etc.
There will be a feature after sharing, that the viewers
will be able to rate our shared data by giving them
rate points. This will allow user to know the rating of
their data and this facility will also be helpful in
advertisement of the app.
This app will provide a starting free
storage of 20GB with a offline
feature that will allow the user to
access their data when they are
offline and this facility is only for
the free storage. But, if the user
wants to increase the data they will
have to pay a premium of $9.99 for
extending the data to 125GB and a
premium of $14.99 for 256GB data.
For 1TB of data storage the user
have to pay $35.99.
The main aim of the app is to be positioned well in the mind of
consumers. This can be done by advertising on internet and
television. The advertisement can also be done on social networking
sites. As nowadays people are spending lots of their time on social
networking sites so advertising on these sites will help a lot.
The app will be distributed by sharing download
links on social networking sites and the other way
of distribution is by uploading it on Google play
store.
The first step in publishing is to register for Google
Play at the Google Play publisher site. The process
is relatively straightforward and should only take
a few minutes. Note: There is a $25 USD charge to
register.
On economical context this app will produce very good
profit since this app deals with the new generation of
people and they are eager to use this app.
On technological context this is a very innovative app and this
app will give many new features to our new technology.
As this app has many competitors but this has all the features of
those plus it has many new additional features.
IMPLEMENTATION
If we talk about point of parity(POP) then the attributes
provided by the app is that it will provide a large free
storage on the other hand the competitor is dropbox so
this have many different features that dropbox doesn't
have like we can share data on social networking sites.
The shared data can also be rated by our friends and
colleagues. Dropbox provide only 2GB of starting free
and over there we can only access those data when we
are online but here 20GB of free storage is provided
with a offline access feature.
The point of difference(POD) deals with desirability, how to
deliver the app and how it is different the competitors.
If we talk about desirability then this cloud storage feature is
new in market and it will attract many users and the app will
be desirable for school and college students. The app will
deliver fast and easy access to stored data and will always
work on target consumer values and how it will compete with
its competitors like dropbox is already discussed.
TOTAL COST EXPENDED ON THE APP IN A MONTH.
Total cost given to the google playstore per month is
approx $15.
Total cost in advertisement is approx $17 per month.
So, total fixed cost is approx
$22 per month.
BREAK EVEN ANALYSIS
Total estimated user in one month is 500.
Let 5% user uses premium app. Hence, premium app users
are 25 in a month.
Profit from each premium user is $9.99 per
month. Then total profit is $249.75.
Total net profit is $(249.75-22)
That is equal to $227.75.

  • 4. MARKET IS FULL OF APPS BUT THIS ONE PROVIDES A NEW EXPERIENCE.
  • 5. THIS APP GOAL IS TO PROVIDE CLOUD STORAGE TO EVERY COMPUTER USERS. PROPOSED COURSE OF ACTION IS TO MAINTAIN CUSTOMER VALUE AND FOCUS ON TARGET CUSTOMERS.
  • 7. The app will be used to store documents, videos, music, games and many other apps itself.
  • 8. There are many competitors like Dropbox, Google Drive etc.
  • 9. For this app target customer will be the college students, office workers and it will also be used by businessmen

  • 11. The is to become paid and popular app on google store. With huge number of active users within 2 years.
  • 12. We should focus on small goals, we have to start increasing the income from the app each month. The goal is to increase the number of Indian users who are eager to store their data in these storage apps. We can use a new technique that includes free service in the beginning and premium for permanent users.
  • 14. This app primarily targets on school and college students.
  • 15. After that many office workers and businessmen may also use this app to store and share their data. This app will be used by any kind of institution that needs a platform to store their important data.
  • 16. Dropbox is one of the more well known cloud storage service for consumers and professionals. Even if you lose your android device, your personal data will be safe in Dropbox. Dropbox gives users 2GB of free cloud storage.
  • 17. Google drive is a combination of a cloud storage service and productivity platform. The can make files available offline so you can view them when you are not on the internet. Google Drive gives users 15GB of free cloud storage.
  • 18. This app is totally smartphone based, so there is very less need of suppliers and channel members. But we can consider Google Store as a channel member for this app.
  • 19. Customers are value maximizers. For the app to deliver high customer value it will have to deal with loyalty of customers. Consumers have varying degree of loyalty to specific brands, stores, and companies. The value proposition consists of the whole cluster of benefits the company promises to deliver; it is more than the core positioning of the offering. Quality is the totality of features and characterstics of a product or service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs.

In many educational institutions the database of their students are stored at many different places and this creates a problem when they want to access them instantly. As many external storage devices can get damaged by external means and this will hamper the stored data in those storage devices and this problem is dealt with this cloud storage app
  • 23. If we talk about promotion then we can promote this app by sharing its download links to our family and friends on social networking sites. This download link can also be shared on twitter and Facebook.

  • 25. Ads can be made and shared on YouTube for free. Free download should be there when user traffic is less and when the user traffic increases paid download must be introduced.

In this app we will be able to share the data to various social networking apps like facebook, twitter etc. There will be a feature after sharing, that the viewers will be able to rate our shared data by giving them rate points. This will allow user to know the rating of their data and this facility will also be helpful in advertisement of the app.

This app will provide a starting free storage of 20GB with a offline feature that will allow the user to access their data when they are offline and this facility is only for the free storage. But, if the user wants to increase the data they will have to pay a premium of $9.99 for extending the data to 125GB and a premium of $14.99 for 256GB data. For 1TB of data storage the user have to pay $35.99.
  • 29. The main aim of the app is to be positioned well in the mind of consumers. This can be done by advertising on internet and television. The advertisement can also be done on social networking sites. As nowadays people are spending lots of their time on social networking sites so advertising on these sites will help a lot.
  • 30. The app will be distributed by sharing download links on social networking sites and the other way of distribution is by uploading it on Google play store. The first step in publishing is to register for Google Play at the Google Play publisher site. The process is relatively straightforward and should only take a few minutes. Note: There is a $25 USD charge to register.

On economical context this app will produce very good profit since this app deals with the new generation of people and they are eager to use this app. On technological context this is a very innovative app and this app will give many new features to our new technology. As this app has many competitors but this has all the features of those plus it has many new additional features.

If we talk about point of parity(POP) then the attributes provided by the app is that it will provide a large free storage on the other hand the competitor is dropbox so this have many different features that dropbox doesn't have like we can share data on social networking sites. The shared data can also be rated by our friends and colleagues. Dropbox provide only 2GB of starting free and over there we can only access those data when we are online but here 20GB of free storage is provided with a offline access feature.
  • 34. The point of difference(POD) deals with desirability, how to deliver the app and how it is different the competitors. If we talk about desirability then this cloud storage feature is new in market and it will attract many users and the app will be desirable for school and college students. The app will deliver fast and easy access to stored data and will always work on target consumer values and how it will compete with its competitors like dropbox is already discussed.
  • 35. TOTAL COST EXPENDED ON THE APP IN A MONTH. Total cost given to the google playstore per month is approx $15. Total cost in advertisement is approx $17 per month. So, total fixed cost is approx $22 per month.
  • 36. BREAK EVEN ANALYSIS Total estimated user in one month is 500. Let 5% user uses premium app. Hence, premium app users are 25 in a month.
  • 37. Profit from each premium user is $9.99 per month. Then total profit is $249.75. Total net profit is $(249.75-22) That is equal to $227.75.
