Hola a todos!
I began this journey several years ago when I was 21 wishing that I
could continue doing more mission work for God after my short stint
at Capernwray Bible School in Costa Rica. There, God really started
speaking into me about Latin America and gave me a drive to learn
more about the people who lived there. Fast forward five years of
finishing university, working odd jobs, and other things, I felt that
God was finally opening that window I thought would never be
opened; the opportunity to do a once in a life time mission adventure
with him to eleven Latin American countries in eleven months.
He provided things for me in this time that I never thought were
possible. The courage and bravery, motivation, finances, along with all
the other support I needed to trail-blaze new ground to really seek
Him out through helping others around the world.
I experienced a year of brokenness in the things I’ve seen which lead
into a deeper dependance and trust in God through those times. It
was in those times that all that was left was God. I’ve seen many
ministries starting, and others merely sustaining. I’ve been in
relational ministries, talking to youth, and other times our team was

dedicated to building or taking care of the ground work for further
ministry. It was both emotionally and physically draining, but the
amazing part was how God used the people we thought we were
pouring into, to at the same time pour into us. I remember months
where the simple act of a family who had very little would invite us
into their home and let us sit around their table for a meal. The
encouragement and joy I received from this year was amazing!
Centre for Global Action (CGA)
January - May
Moving forward I am now in something called Centre for Global
Action at the Adventures In Missions head office in Gainesville,
Georgia, USA. Its a program that has been put together by the same
organization that began the WorldRace. In CGA I will be involved in
community, discipleship, formally and informally, an apprenticeship
while working within the background of Adventures in Missions
Parent Ministries department, and a few courses that include one
titled “Dangerous Jesus”, and another titled “Emotionally Healthy
Spirituality”. Also worship track! A time to discover how different
aspects of worship fit in the body of Christ and how to be confident
in those giftings. These are all things that in this community will help
activate me and my peers into our callings while strengthening an
identity and relationship with God.
So, personally, I am so excited to see what God will do in this next
season. Please pray for me that I will continue to step out in faith for
Him, because it’s never risk with God, its just faith. Pray that I will
receive all levels of support; emotional, spiritual, and financial.
Continue to follow my blog and I hope to send out more of these
letters with more details on this program and the weekly happenings
of life here as a CGA apprentice.
