I began as a restaurant cashier and server which led to other restaurants and serving. In addition to the other jobs I had such as a position at a large gift store and a bank institution in which was centered in a well known retirement community. My personality and skills with getting to know people and building a rapport ultimately led me to an award winning hotel. After relocating to a different area, I desired to work directly with people and their needs in real estate. I’ve developed a passion for anticipating peoples’ needs and offering the best service possible.
Head Food Server-Event Planner
1994-1996
Brio Restaurant, Monarch Beach, CA
In the days prior to opening this restaurant, I demonstrated my abilities and knowledge in the food and beverage industry. That led me to the head server position of the restaurant. I developed very strong relationships with the owners, staff, and the many frequent guests. I truly enjoyed serving excellent food in a wonderful environment and providing the best service imaginable.
Fine Dining Server/Banquets-Special Events
Guest Relations /PBX Operator
1989-1993
The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, CA
My experience with The Ritz Carlton is an everlasting yet memorable journey in my life. I began in the summer serving food and beverages poolside to some amazing guests in which memories with always remain. I was fortunate to explore all the many facets a five-star, five-diamond hotel has to offer.

My Interests in working at a five-star Hotel (The Ritz Carlton) led me to many venues and opportunities such as fine dining server, banquets, communications and reservations. The broad spectrum of experiences and training that I received has been highly valuable in my relationships and success!
Education
Saddleback College
Mission Viejo, CA
Business-2 year
My studies at the community college focused on business. I believed the classes offered a wonderful instruction in human relations in business.
Irvine Valley College
Irvine, CA
Aerobics Instructor- Health and Fitness
In working at the Ritz Carlton I became a “jack of all trades”. Wherever I was needed I would go. It was common for me to work up to 60 hours a week. I was requested to teach aerobics for the hotel guests and local club members. After settling in as the “aerobics instructor”, the Hotel gave me the opportunity to receive education and certification to become a professional instructor.
Currently, I am involved and active in my community such as Board of Realtors, Chamber of Commerce, PTA, Church, social groups, and many activities that my children are involved in.
The training and hands on experience that I received in my opinion, could not be taught in a classroom or any place else. It is forever embedded in who I am today and have carried it closely in all my current endeavors and relationships.
Thank you,
Julie Lane
