"Julie is very compassionate and a dynamic musician and music therapist.
While we were students together at Maryville University in St. Louis, my
late husband Dale was going through stem cell rejection in the fall of 2009
in-hospital at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, I had to quit schooland
lived with him in the hospital. I asked the chairman of the music therapy
department if some students could come and do music therapy for Dale
and I. Julie was one of the students who came. She played guitar and sang
beautifully, and helped both my husband and I so much. After Dale's
passing, I came back to school the following semesterto complete my
music therapy degree.Julie was a very supportive friend. She is a
wonderful person, and I know she is a wonderful music therapist. Everyone
would benefitgreatly from music therapy sessions with her!”

“Julia Dean is a very talented music therapist. She is able to calm a room of
children with autism while engaging the children in group lessons that are
fun and educational. Julia always kept a soothing atmosphere that allowed
our students to step out of their comfortzone and rise to new expectations.”
