1. Hi! My name is Mary Gilbertson. I am a nurse, a nutritionist, and a healthy lifestyle
coach.
After graduating from University in Nursing, at the top of my class, I began a career
spanning 30 years, working in every facet of medicine. I rode ambulances, worked in
the ED, delivered babies, and expanded my reach into pediatrics, home care, medical-
surgical and cardiac care. I worked in hospitals, clinics, doctor’s offices, helped run
a cardiac stress lab, worked in cardiac rehab and a heart failure clinic. I was even
trained as a diabetic clinician in a large, local hospital. You name it...I did it!!
And I kept seeing a common theme emerge! As I witnessed the effects of chronic,
degenerative disease, and the dependence on drugs to treat conditions that were
preventable with healthy lifestyle, I knew healthcare was going in the wrong
direction!
I wanted to become part of a revolutionary change in healthcare; one that
focused on health promotion for optimal wellness.
I went back to University, obtaining a Master’s degree in Nutrition, a certificate in
Health Coaching, a certificate in Holistic Stress Management, and a certificate in
Detoxification, so I could blend together all the facets necessary to create healthy
lifestyle plans that promote Optimal Wellness.
Today I devote my life to educating and empowering others on the importance of
living a healthy lifestyle, using whole foods, exercise, stress management, and mind-
body modalities, so you can liveyour life with energy and vitality, free of disease and
disability, and without drugs, whenever possible.
