in combination with backgrounds that I painted specifically
for this project. The typography choices for headings and
sub-headings, although unusual, is meant to complement
the unique and emotive style of the artist.

LIVE David Bowie first caught the attention of the public in 1969, when his song “Space Oddity”, alluding
in title and subject matter to Stanley Kubric’s film 2001: A Space Odyssey, was released to coincide
with the first moon landing. Since then David Bowie has iconically and consistently challenged the
core beliefs of the current rock music scene, creating perhaps the biggest cult in popular culture.

The first phase of this project involved using a minimum of
twelve different fonts to translate song lyrics into an expressive
typographic composition — the nebula-like type-based graphic
seen in the centre section of the poster. The second phase was
to translate the above mentioned composition into a poster by
taking to its absolute limit with respect to formal manipulation,
colour and hierarchal structure.

5. The objective of this project was to communicate the name,
content (features and benefits), time(s) and location for an ex-
hibition hosted by the Ontario Science Centre for the CNIB in
the form of a poster that would inform quickly and make the
viewer want to find out more about the subject matter, once
the imagination has been engaged and captured. The subject
matter for the exhibition has to do with evolving technologies
to contend with vision loss/vision aid for an aging population.
My design is shown in the middle and was exhibited at OCAD.

6. Promotional cube give away and brochure for the CNIB
exhibition project, adhering to the same established
strategy, only allowing colour to be used (CMYK).

7. Designers continuously work on their signature style both
literally and figuratively. Using my own handwriting as the
basis for a font design, this in-class analogue project asked
me to asses a wide variety of mark-making and writing tools
and to discover the appropriate implement that best suits its
rhythm and texture. Alloted time: three hours (high quality
digital print with suitable font name was to be handed in by
the end of class).

utilisant moins d'eau. Après le trempage, laisser
refroidir et verser sur la glace. 4 sachets de thé

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
HOT Heat water almost to a boil, fill a cup
and steep the tea bag for 4 minutes or more.
ICED Prepare as above using less water. After
steeping, cool and pour over ice. 4 teabags
per 1 quart of water makes 6 servings.

The objective of this project was to re-design or refresh
the Eden Organic brand identity, and to design a new
packaging for their line of organic teas.

10. The objective of this project was to design a brand iden-
tity for a new, theoretical product, Elixir Single Malt Ca-
nadian Whiskey, and to design a primary “gold label” and
two secondary flavour profiles.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
MODE DE PRÉPARATION
Bring 6 to 8 litres of water to a boil. Add the
pasta and stir often. Cook for a total time of
7 minutes for al dente and up to 9 minutes for
regular texture. Drain and rinse with cold
water. Serve and enjoy!
Porter à ébullition 6 à 8 litres d’eau. Ajouter le
pâtes et remuer fréquemment. Cuire pendant
une durée totale de 7 minutes pour qu’elles
