them to struggle with their
time, money, teams, careers

tive, where they quickly

4. They worked with Joy
Joy has worked closely with major organisations and business from all sectors,
providing training, coaching, facilitation and consultation.
They Include:
5. Joy Ogeh-Hutfield was born in Ni-
geria and came to the UK at the
age of 16 to fulfil a dream of be-
coming an actress. After her A
levels, she joined a couple of Afri-
can theatre dance and drama
companies in London. The pur-
pose was to promote the beauty
and richness of the African art
and theatre. She taught African
dance, poetry, drums and drama
in schools, using the different Af-
rican art forms as a vehicle to
combat discrimination and preju-
dice and raise participants’
awareness about the role and in-
fluence of African theatre and
culture.
After 2 years, Joy decided to go
and study psychology and theatre
at the university of Liverpool with
the hope of becoming a drama
therapist. She worked as an artist
in residence in Warwickhire,
while studying, providing work-
shops for schools. Joy used art as
a form of therapy to combat bul-
lying, low confidence and bring
about inclusivity. She used the
fun element couple with the seri-
ousness to make it easier for peo-
ple to open up. These experienc-
es helped her develop her unique
ability to teach, train and interact
in a fun and effective way with
other people.
After graduating, Joy worked as a
carer in a care home. Ironically,
she was sacked for spending too
much time with the residents and
for caring for them. She was told
that “this was a business, not a
charity”. Joy realised that she had
come to a ruthless environment
that lacked love and respect.
However, this experience had a
tremendous impact on Joy and
would determine the mind-set
with which she would approach
the rest of her career. A mind-set
of love, respect and fairness.
Joy decided to pursue a PGCE
(post 16) at the University of
Greenwich and became a lecturer
working with adults with learning
difficulties and disabilities, where
she taught A level, B Tech in per-
forming art. In her unique and
unusual style, she used various
art forms, including dance, sto-
ry-telling to connect with peo-
ple, addressing issues such as
depression, low self-esteem,
low self-confidence, bullying.
FROM TEACHING TO
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
From working with people with
disabilities, Joy developed an
acute sense of awareness re-
garding Equality and Diversity
issues and the concept of fair-
ness became paramount to her
work. It formed the basis and
foundation of her core values.
After moving to Swansea through
a relocation programme with her
husband, Joy started working
with various schools in Wales and
in the Valleys . In her usual and
distinctive style, she used story-
telling, drama, music and psychol-
ogy to tackle equality and inclu-
sion issues, bullying, racism, har-
assment and exclusion.
As rewarding as teaching was, Joy
started to feel that there was
more to be done. Her passion for
Equality and Diversity issues cou-
pled with her acute sense of fair-
ness propelled her to the next
level as she embarked on a career
in Equality and Diversity.
6. CAREER IN EQUALITY AND
DIVERSITY
With her mind made up to effect
real change, Joy got a position as
a Diversity officer for CADMAD
(Cardiff and District Multi-Cultural
Arts Development) and it soon
became apparent that she had a
gift for designing innovative, dy-
namic and interactive Equality
and Diversity programmes that
focused on transforming mind-set
rather than a tick-box exercise.
Diversity should be seen as a mo-
saic of people who bring with
them a variety of different be-
liefs, religion, values that be-
comes assets to the environment,
society, organisation in which
they operate.
In order to transform the mind-
set and bring about change in this
area, she needed a fresh and in-
novative approach to enable the
key decision makers of businesses
to buy in. So, she formed her
own consultancy: LAMAJO.
LAMAJO specialised in Equality,
Leadership and Management
and grew in success and reputa-
tion.
Joy has worked with major organ-
isations, implementing open-
days, training and facilitation, for
prestigious clients. Some of her
clients include:
Her Majesty’s Court Ser-
vices, where she conducted
the initial research study in-
to the implementation of
the first Community Justice
Programme in Wales, as
well as identifying an appro-
priate Community Engage-
ment Plan and Strategy, and
developed the first Black
and Minority Ethnic Directo-
ry for the Seven Unitary Au-
thorities for Her Majesty
Court Service.
The South Wales Police, as
Lay Advisory for the Com-
mittee, where she worked
on high profile cases such as
the Lynette White murder
case.
The Lord Chancellor Depart-
ment, CENTREX (Central
Police Training and Develop-
ment Authority) for the po-
lice, Probation Services , for
which she worked as Expert
Leadership Diversity Con-
sultant; providing training
for their Senior Manage-
ment teams based in the UK
and the Common Wealth.
Parc Prison and Youth
Offending Teams, where she
worked with the leadership
and managerial team of
Parc Prison, as well as young
offenders and prisoners.
The Welsh Assembly Gov-
ernment, the Board of Di-
rectors of the BBC, South
Wales Fire Rescue Services,
and various private organi-
sations and businesses
Always one willing to giving back
to society, Joy decided to organ-
ise the Power of Change Confer-
ence in Cardiff on Diversity, Lead-
ership and entrepreneurship, in
order to inspire organisation,
budding businesses and individu-
als to build a new tomorrow in
their communities. The aim was
to help businesses to discuss a
fresh, exciting and practical ap-
proach to Leadership, Culture,
Diversity and entrepreneurship.
“Joy was involved in the creation and
delivery of a number of training ses-
sions for a range of staff at the prison
on the topic of equality and diversity.
The course sessions were unanimously
considered to be engaging, informa-
tive and entirely different from the
normal type of training this subject
involves. Joy herself was an inspiration
and her outlook and experience proved
to be invaluable in widening our staff’s
understanding and appreciation of the
diverse society in which we operate.
I have no hesitation in recommending
Joy Ogeh-Hutfield and I am sure that
you would be equally satisfied with the
services she provides.”
Janet Wallsgrove, Director, HMP/
YOI Parc
7. FROM TRAINING TO COACHING
Joy’s approach to Diversity and
Leadership, which focuses on
changing mind-set rather than
the mere application of the law,
revealed an intuitive and natural
ability for coaching. Joy went on
to qualify as a certified coach by
the ICF with the aim to improve
the quality and effectiveness of
her services.
Her unique style, a mix of coach-
ing, training and facilitation was
gaining ground and she received
more and more request for
coaching. She was hired to coach
some of her clients’ most senior
employees who were struggling
to perform effectively because of
a variety of issues ranging from
stress, time management, lack of
confidence to depression.
The results were always impres-
sive, with massive breakthrough
for the individuals.
MIND-SET TRANSFORMATION
COACHING
When Joy was diagnose with a
rare form of skin cancer in 2011,
her world almost came to a crash-
ing end. However, this extremely
challenging experience gave Joy
the opportunity to re-evaluate
her life’s purpose and she real-
ised that she wanted to do more.
Although she achieved tremen-
dous and amazing results in the
Equality and Diversity arena, Joy
came to realise that the platform
was not enabling her to accom-
plish that mind-set shift needed
to accelerate personal and busi-
ness growth. In order for her to
make a difference in a deeper and
more sustainable way, she need-
ed to take mind-set transfor-
mation to a whole new level.
Joy started to research the rea-
sons as to why people were not
achieving their lives goals, dream,
and desires and realised that it is
primarily due to people harness-
ing the wrong mind-set. If people
harnessed the right mind-set,
they will have more clarity, make
better decisions, lead better and
perform better.
This realisation was what sprung
the transition from Diversity and
Leadership training to full time
life and business coaching. She
wanted to bring about change in
people and society through a
mind-set transformation.
For Joy, harnessing the right mind
-set for success is what brings
about fulfilment and enables indi-
viduals to impact society positive-
ly.
JOY TRANSFORMATION
Always on a quest to improve
herself and provide outstanding
services, Joy embarked on a Mas-
tery University programme with
Anthony Robbins.
With Joy Transformation, Joy’s
mission is to empower individuals
to take ownership and lead from
a higher perspective, where they
quickly gain positive results and
practical skills that can make a
profound difference in their lives,
businesses and society as a
whole. For Joy, Transformation is
a journey that should bring joy
and fulfilment.
I would recommend Joy’s coaching to
any company which is looking to im-
prove performance, energise the team
and make sure the team sustains the
energy to hit performance targets on
an ongoing basis. “

20. “When you invite an external trainer into your team you are never sure how the
events will run. As an organisation we have used many external trainers in the past
with varying success. However I have no hesitation in saying that Joy is without
doubt the best external trainer I have seen in action for the following reasons:”
Joy is extremely passionate about her subject and the organisation of the event was extremely well structured
and planned. She is enthusiastic, possesses in depth knowledge and is able to engage with her audience on an
extremely personal level. She is very open, which means her audience also open themselves up which makes
for a two way exchange of ideas. She makes things happen through the quality of engagement and enthusiasm.
Finally and most importantly, Joy is genuinely interested in people and for me this the fundamental difference
between Joy and other trainers we have experienced.
Mike Hayden – Corporate Director at Barclays Bank
“Joy worked with my sales team on her Team Accelerator Programme.
We all came out of the coaching programme motivated, confident and energised to produce
great results.
The impact of the training was instantaneous to say the least. Team morale was high, the office working envi-
ronment vibrant, and the mind-set of the individual team members were radically transformed. An example of
this was in one of my underperforming staff, who had struggled to hit her sales targets and after the training
and coaching session with joy, she went on to hit all three months target that she had previously been unable
to reach. Her confidence and mind-set was been given such a boost that she felt empowered to produce great
results.
I quote “I was given self-confidence and the feeling that I can win if I put my mind to it. By focussing my mind
and getting rid of my limiting beliefs, I became more confident about myself and the product.”
When Joy walks into my office, the room lights and everyone smiles! She is knowledgeable and confident and I
would HIGHLY recommend her”
Helen Bowden, Station Director, UTV
“Joy brings high energy but balances it with an extremely motivational and inspiring approach to
her work. She has a unique ability to bring out the best in individuals and teams, filling them with
confidence, renewed focus and drive. Her impact is long lasting and powerful and I have great
pleasure in recommending Joy.”
Michael Downie – General Manager at Marriott International
21. “Dear Joy
I cannot even begin to express how happy I was (and we all were) with your contribution to
the forum, thank you again.Your contribution as speaker and coach has been invaluable and
allowed us to put together exactly the kind of event we had in mind. The feedback from partic-
ipants was enthusiastic, a big thank you also on their behalf.”
Laura Boselli, Directorate-General for Translation Communication and relations with stakehold-
ers ,European Commission
“Joy has a very unique method of stimulating thinking and delivering leadership content which
made the Master Class coaching programme very enjoyable and the effect on certain individuals
has been remarkable. There has been a renewed energy into our leadership and already we've seen some sig-
nificant changes of behaviour.
Personally I found the course very valuable in re energising me and improving my skills as a leader, particularly
in relation to self-awareness, sharing a vision and my outward perception as a leader.
I'd certainly recommend Joy transformation coaching to other businesses if they are looking for a catalyst to
effect change within their organisation.
Iain Fowler, Director of Local Radio, UTV Media GB
“When we first looked into the 3 day team transformation coaching pro-
gramme, it seemed like quite a risk with regards to the time and financial com-
mitment but I must say that it the best training session we’ve had at
Wolfestone and it was a great investment.
The transformation in the team has been incredible; there is a lot of energy, positivity and solution focus in the
office. People are motivated to step outside their comfort zone and drive change and lift other team members
when necessary. People are more aware how their moods, language and tone of voice affect others. A lot of
staff members are coming up with new ideas, drive implementation and this has made a great atmosphere in
the office.
We have been given a lot of tools that managers and individuals are implementing in their teams and this makes
a huge difference to the company’s performance. Individuals know how they contribute to the big picture,
teams understand how they interact with others and understand how they can influence the things that concern
them on a daily basis. The new job titles energised the office and made it more fun and people are striving to be
outstanding.
I would recommend Joy’s coaching to any company which is looking to improve performance, energise the team
and make sure the team sustains the energy to hit performance targets on an ongoing basis. “
Anna Bastek – CEO at Wolfestone Translation

sations. Excellent!”
Rhian Griffith, HR Manager, South Wales Magistrates Courts Committee.

facilitation skills were excellent and fully involved everyone in the workshop
Keith Rawlings, Head of Personnel, BBC WALES.
Joy Ogeh-Hutfield is a supporter of the work of Swansea Business School, UWTSD. Having
met Joy at several business networking events I was impressed by her strength of character
and communication ability. She is a big personality who can hold her audience and get im-
portant messages across in a friendly but firm way. In presenting to my students she was not shy about stating
the tough environment in which they have to operate. However this strengthened her case that they should
strive to be special and take control of their study, work and personal lives. I would highly recommend Joy as an
inspirational speaker and hope to work with her and her team in future project work.
Steve Griffiths, Assistant Dean at Faculty of Business and Management, Swansea Metropolitan Uni-
versity
“I am more than happy to endorse Joy Ogeh-Hutfield. I can say in total confidence that she is with-
out doubt one of the country’s foremost Transformational training providers.”
Wycliffe Barrett, Training and Development Officer, Cardiff City Council.
23. “I have found the sessions with joy extremely beneficial. I came out of every session with a smile or a better atti-
tude towards situations and life. It's given me motivation and conviction to do what I want in life. I have so many
found memories with joy, she's just an amazing atmosphere to be around it's an inspiration in itself. I can't thank
joy enough for turning me around from the darkest of places and putting me in a much better place”

ences in life both personally and professionally. Months later, I am still hooked on the principles and techniques
that she taught me and I am achieving far greater results for it."
Sarah
“I was struggling to keep the balance between my work and my family and I was really lacking of confidence. She
helped me to set the steps to reach my goals.
The coaching sessions helped me restore my self-esteem and I am happier now."
Shirley
“I have learnt to discard those thoughts and habits which do not add value and devote my time to the more posi-
tive aspects of my life which add value.”
Richie
My son was in a low place; he had suicidal thoughts and was very sad. I was extremely worried about him and
needed some professional help. After the first session with Joy, he came out smiling. I was delighted. Smiling is
something he had not being doing much of at that point and I felt very hopeful.
After three sessions with Joy there were no more worrying comments from my son and he started to feel em-
powered a bit and could see light at the end of the tunnel.
By the end of the sixth session my son had rebuild his relationship with his best friend and was not feeling sad
and was looking forward again. Getting my son Life Coaching with Joy transformation was so worth it, it was
money well spent as you cannot put a price on happiness.
Lianne
