1. Possible Hazards Risk Rating (Low, medium, High) Controls
The abandoned building has the risk
of trip hazards.
This is a high risk, we could trip over
derelict wood or rubbish that has
been left behind. Group members
could potentially injure themselves.
Create a clear area before filming to
eliminate this hazard. In addition
wear appropriate footwear with grip
to ensure our footing is stable.
Overgrown plants and trees. This is a medium risk as the building
is open and as a result nature has
crept in reaching some parts of the
floor area.
Be careful and aware when walking
around the location. To make sure
there are no slippery surfaces or trip
dangers.
The open field. This is a medium risk as the weather
during the filming months of
February may be unpredictable.
It could cause wet mud to become
slippery, in order to prevent this we
should ensure we use a dry area of
grass.
Weather implications. This is a medium risk as the coldness
could cause a group member to
become ill when we are filming for
long periods of time.
We need to ensure that everyone is
wrapped up and wearing a coat
especially as we will be outside. This
will keep us from the exposure of
the cold air.
2. Possible Hazards. Risk Rating (Low medium, High) Controls.
Makeup Irritation. High risk. Our character needs to look heavily
gaunt and traumatised. So as a
group we need to ensure we read all
the labels of the make up products
we are using so our actor doesn’t
have an allergic reaction.
The general public. Low risk. There is a possibility that within the
open field there may be dog
walkers, this is a low risk as we can
prevent them from being in shot by
using the correct timing and angles.
Potential Traffic. Medium risk Leading up to the location there is a
off road lane that is accessible by
the local people. As a group we
need to be aware of moving
vehicles.
Lack of food/water. Medium Risk. The group members may become
hungry or dehydrated if we film for
long periods of time. To prevent
feeling unwell we should plan before
hand and take occasional breaks.
