5. IDEAS FOR THE NARRATIVE
When gathering ideas for our video we
decided our music video would inevitably
be representative of the teen age social
life. We have basic ideas but not yet a
clear narrative. This is due to the fact that
the genre we have chosen, pop, doesn’t
usually have a complex narrative. We
have researched artists and similar tracks
within our genre, such as Cheryl Cole and
her “Call my Name” video and Rita Ora’s
“Hot Right Now” which have shown that

• Main Artist singing alone – no band or additional
performers
• Main Artist will be signing as well as
dancing, sometimes at the same time.
• Back up dancers / dance troupe may possibly
be included in various parts of the video
• The artist will be in a large location wearing
bright colours for good contrast with the totally
dark / black surroundings
