PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Deputy Director of Intelligence, JointTaskForce Alaska,2010-2013: AsDeputyDirector,ensuredthe
Commander,the seniorfederal executiveinAlaska,was providedthe militaryandgeo-political
intelligence andinformationnecessarytoensure the securityanddefense of Alaska. Core
responsibilities includedcoordinationandcooperative intelligence production andanalysis withother
militarystaffs,the CoastGuardand other interagencypartnersinthe federal, state andlocal
government. Ledthe staff’seffortinestablishingthe processesnecessaryto ensure the national
IntelligenceCommunity (IC) wasfocusedonrequirementsforoperationsinthe Arctic.
ChiefCounter- Piracy Team/Maritime Analyst, NATOJointForcesCommandLisbon, 2009-2010: As the
seniorUS Naval Intelligence Officeron anoperational NATOStaff,ledbyafourstar FrenchGeneral,
developedfromscratch,andthenformedthe teamto execute,JointNATOIntelligencesupport
operationsforCounter-Piracyoff Somaliaandthe Horn of Africa. This effortincludedthe initial and
continueddeployingof personnel toBahrainandDjibouti toworkinclose coordinationwiththe
EuropeanUnion,andother partnernations,includingChinaandRussia. Ledthe efforttodevelopthe
Political,Military, Economic, Social,Infrastructure andInformation (PMESII) baselineanalysisforNATO’s
supportto maritime securityoff the Hornof Africa. Afterservingasa memberof a seniorfact finding
teamvisit,createdthe intelligence process andthe core intelligence forthe initial developmentof
NATO’sMaritime SecurityCapacityBuildingefforts inKenya,DjiboutiandPuntland(regionof Somalia).
Director of Intelligence,USNavyPatrol andReconnaissance Forcesinthe MideastandWesternPacific -
2005 - 2009: As a directoron thisseniorstaff, oversaw andprovided the operational andgeo-political
intelligence thatsupported dailyflightactivityof multiplemaritime patrol and reconnaissance
squadrons whichenabled the strategicpositioningof logistical,communicationandaircraftamongsix
differentgeographichubs. Responsibleforthe directionof intelligencecollectionandproductionat
these hubsof the assignedintelligence professionalsanddirectlymanageda20 personsupporting
intelligence directorate. Developed new processesforthe airborne collectionof maritime information,
analysisandfusedintelligence production. Thiseffortenabledoperational andstrategicdecisionsof the
verytop leaders inthe US Navy. Createdanddirected the teamsthatintroduced quantifiable metrics
for evaluatingmission performanceandeffectiveness. Thisprocessbecame the new standard inthe
Navy’sforwardoperatingfleetsfromthe PersianGulf tothe WesternPacific. Developedand

WorldWide Intelligence CommunicationSystem(JWICS) forAlaska. Managedanannual 500k budget
and twocontractors for thisfunction. Was the leadstaff strategicplannerforintelligence supportfor
multi-service (Joint) planning. Wasa plankownerin Alaska’sJointTerrorismTask Force. Assistedthe
Coast Guard inAlaskainaligningtheirIntelligence processeswiththe largerdefense community
Intelligence Planer/SeniorWatchOfficer,US Space Command/NORAD, 1998-2001: Was the command’s
primary intelligence strategicandoperational planner. Contributed,aswell ascoordinated inputtoall
the major plans supportingUSspace operationsaswell as the ComputerNetworkDefense mission.
Qualifiedandservedas a NORADintelligence SeniorWatchOfficerona six person civilianandmilitary
rotational teamwithinthe CheyenneMountainOperationCenter.
