ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Title of Project: Strategic Placement of Vegetation to Achieve Up-floodplain Gradient Channel Migration Date: 2016
 Assumed the role of research team member, which performed geomorphologic research on a stream table.
 Successfully created a meandering pattern, which was chaotic and included meanders, which cut-up gradient by
managing sites of erosion and deposition by strategically placing alfalfa and kaolinite.
Title of Project: Mesa Falls Basalt Mapping Date: 2015
 Served as a research assistant, in charge of conducting research, which involved mapping basalt flows in the Mesa Falls
to confirm their origination and age in the Yellowstone Plateau.
 Handled the classification of various basalt flows from appearance, size, mineral content, and paleomagnetism.
Title of Project: Field Camp Geology Date: 2015
 Carried out the creation of a geologic map of an assigned area by plotting faults and folds, strike and dip of rocks, as
well as various formations.
 Attended to the measurement and drawing of geologic columns to gain understanding of local geology
Title of Project: Impact of Erosional Processes on Local Populations Date: 2015
 Accomplished research regarding landslide areas in Salt Lake Valley.
Title of Project: Impact of Erosional Processes on Coastal Region Date: 2015
 Completed coastal erosion projects regarding coastal erosion on the California coast.
Title of Project: Classification and Analyzation of Data Using ArcGIS Date: 2014
 Utilized ArcGIS in completing the mapping of geographic information system (GIS) projects on mitigation and hazard
assessment, including proximity to fault zones, along with reclassification schemes.
 Researched distribution of wildlife species within the Yellowstone and Grand Teton Ecosystem by utilizing vegetation
and elevation classification schemes.
Title of Project: Hazard Assessment of Proximity to Fault Systems Date: 2014
