Solusi masalah yang mengajak semua orang berperan aktif
LEGO Serious Play adalah sebuah metode problem solving, komunikasi dan
internalisasi yang difasilitasi dalam format workshop. Para peserta dibimbing
untuk menggali solusi masalah dengan cara yang semakin lama semakin da-
lam. Penggunaan model 3 dimensi membantu menstimulasi otak peserta un-
tuk mencari solusi yang selama ini terpendam.
Dengan didasari teori ilmiah seperti “Flow Theory” dan riset dari Carnegie
Mellon, penggunaan model LEGO untuk mendiskusikan sesuatu mengakibat-
kan;
 Kemampuan memproses informasi dan memecahkan masalah meningkat
 Terjadi ikatan emosional antara pemakai dan masalah yang dibahas se-
hingga komitmen yang tinggi terjadi
 Penyerapan dan daya ingat akan informasi yang dibahas meningkat.
 Hambatan2 emosional dan sikap defensive peserta berkurang drastis dan
suasana diskusi menjadi menyenangkan dan fun!

A facilitator guided method of communication, internalization and
problem solving. Participants are led through a series of questions
which go deeper and deeper towards the root of an issue or issues.
The use of 3 Dimensional models stimulate thinking, knowledge shar-
ing, problem solving and decision making.
Based on Flow Theory and research at Carnegie Mellon, the use of
LEGO Serious Play has been shown to ;
 Increase the ability to process information and solve problems
 Create an emotional bond between the participant and the prob-
lem being discussed which leads to an increase in commitment to
the outcome of the workshop.
 An increased absorption of information also results in a better
retention of information
 Emotional obstacles and defensive attitudes are reduced and a
state of increased bonding among participants is achieved. Also it
is a lot of fun!
 When it is important that::
 Everyone is able to contribute to an issue on a level playing
field
 Where the issue is complex and multifaceted, and there are
no clear answers
 When a Helicopter View of the issues is needed and the connections be-
tween the components and factors affecting them need to be explored.
 There is a need for everyone to understand and internalize the same thing
such as corporate values, vision and mission.
 When decisions need to be made with the complete commitment of every-
one even if they do not agree 100%.
