5. In 1 John 1.18 we read: Little children, it is the last hour. And as you have
heard that the anti-messiah is coming, even now many anti-messiahs have
come. This is how we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 1.19 They went out
from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have
stayed with us - but in order that it might be made manifest that none of them
were of us. These wrong teachers are not coming into the ark no matter what
you are saying.
6. “Having been called out by faith, Abraham obeyed to go
forth to a place which he was going to receive for an
inheritance; and he went out not understanding where he
went. By faith he resided as a foreigner in a land of promise,
living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the joint-heirs of the
same promise; for he looked forward to a city having the
foundations of which the builder and maker is YAHWEH.
-Also by faith Sarah herself received power for conceiving
seed even beyond the time of age, and gave birth; since she
deemed the One having promised to be faithful. Therefore,
from one man failing through age, numbers were born, like
the stars in the heavens, and like the sand on the sea shore,
which is innumerable. (Gen. 22:17)
-These all died by way of faith, not having received the
promises, but seeing them from afar, and being persuaded,
and having embraced and confessed that they are strangers
and pilgrims on the earth.”
(Heb 11:8-13) THE APOSTOLIC SCRIPTURES SAID :
7. “ So therefore, we also, having so great a cloud of witnesses lying
around us, having laid aside every weight and the sin which does
so easily beset us, through patience let us also run the race set
before us, looking to the Author and perfecter of our faith, Yeshua,
who for the joy set before Him endured the torture stake,
despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne
of YAHWEH. (Psa. 110:1) Consider, therefore, how much He
suffered from those sinners, for they were adversaries to their
own soul, so that you do not become weary, fainting in your souls.
You did not yet resist unto blood, striving against sin. And you
have forgotten the exhortation which He speaks with you, as with
sons, "My sons, do not despise the chastening of YAHWEH, nor
faint while being corrected by Him. For whom YAHWEH loves, He
chastens, and disciplines every son whom He is pleased." (Prov.
3:11, 12) If you endure discipline, YAHWEH is dealing with you as
with sons; for who is the son whom a father does not discipline?
But if you are without discipline, of which all have become
sharers, then you are strangers, and not sons.”
(Heb 12:1-8)

14. You did not choose me, I chose you; and I have commissioned you to
go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask from
the Father in my name he may give you. (John 15:16 CJB)
Chayei Sarah, which means the "life of Sarah", curiously begins with
her death, burial, and Abraham's mourning. The Torah section then
concludes with Abraham's death.
Yes, indeed! I tell you that unless a grain of wheat that falls to the
ground dies, it stays just a grain; but if it dies, it produces a big
harvest. (John 12:24 CJB)
The Messiah here references His death and resurrection, and the
everlasting, glorious fruit of salvation and restoration that would bless
many people as a result of His Atonement. We find the principle of
greater life continuing after death demonstrated in the account of
Sarah. I will bless her; moreover, … she will be a mother of nations;
kings of peoples will come from her.“ (Genesis 17:16 CJB)

16. By now Avraham was old, advanced in years; and
Adonai had blessed Avraham in everything. Gen.24:1
The sentence reads in Hebrew; “V‟Avraham va-eekah, ba-eh
bayamim”. It literally translates as; “And Avraham was old,
he came into the days.” This is a Hebrew idiom meaning that
he (they) lived each day to the fullest. “ They were present,
in the now, fulfilling their purpose in each day they lived.”
Legends of the Jews “Alamat ng mga judio” :
So long as she was alive, he felt himself young and vigorous,
but after she had passed away, old age suddenly overtook
him. It was he himself who made the plea that age be
betrayed by suitable signs and tokens. Before the time of
Abraham an old man was not distinguishable externally from
a young man, and as Isaac was the image of his father, it
happened frequently that father and son were mistaken for
each other, and a request meant for the one was preferred
to the other. Abraham prayed therefore that old age might
have marks to distinguish it from youth, and God granted his
petition, and since the time of Abraham the appearance of
men changes in old age. Known as the one of seven great
wonders. 16
17. Then Avraham breathed his last, dying at a ripe old age, an old
man full of years; and he was gathered to his people. (Genesis
25:8 CJB)
Abraham lived thirty-five more years after Isaac married
Rebekah and took another wife, Keturah, who provided him
with six more sons. The Midianites are from her offspring.
When Abraham died, everything was left to Isaac, as he was his
only son, the son of the promise. Abraham gave gifts to all his
children but only one, Isaac, received the birthright inheritance.
The seed of Isaac retains the Covenant and the birthright.
Hagar and Keturah’s children were also blessed and become
fathers and princes of many nations (Genesis 25:16; 1 Chronicles
1:32). Abraham’s whole family was with him at his death,
including Ishmael. Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah in
the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron the
Hittite (near Hebron), the field that Abraham had bought. 17
18. Sarah lived to be 127 years old; these were the years of Sarah's
life. Sarah died in Kiryat-Arba, also known as Hevron, in the
land of Kena`an; and Avraham came to mourn Sarah and weep
for her. (Genesis 23:1-2 CJB)
- When she died she was 127 years old;
- Isaac was thirty-seven at the time.
She is the only woman whose age is mentioned in Scripture.
One rabbinic writer said her age revealed that Sarah had the
exuberance of a seven year old, the beauty of a twenty-year
old, and the wisdom of an one-hundred year old. ”.
The word Sarai, means “my princess,” implying that she owed her
greatness to her status as Abraham’s wife. Henceforth she would be
called only Sarah, which signifies that she is a “princess to all the
nations of the world.” Prior to the covenant, Sarai’s personal majesty
made her the princess of Abraham (and his country Aram). Now,
however, all limitations were removed. She was princess “par
excellence”—to all mankind (ArtScroll Stone Edition Chumash, p. 75).
By belief also, Sarah herself was enabled to conceive seed, and she bore
a child when she was past the normal age, because she deemed Him
trustworthy who had promised. (Hebrews 11:11 The Scriptures 1998+)18
19. The Patriarchs did not function as individuals
- their mission in life required the partnership of a wife
worthy to be a matriarch.
- This is clear in the relationship of Abraham and Sarah.
So, too, only after Isaac married Rebecca did Abraham
give him "everything" he had, which included all his
blessings.
- Only now, therefore, when Jacob was going to find his
proper match, could Isaac confer upon him the
blessing of Abraham (ArtScroll Stone Edition Chumash,
p. 143, comment on Gen 28:1–5).
19
20. When God first called Abraham he said, "Go forth from your
country." The Hebrew for "go forth" is lech-lecha (לך .)לך
That was the first test of Abraham's faith. Near the end of
Abraham's life, the LORD again tells Abraham, "Lech-lecha."
He commands him to bring his son Isaac to the land of Moriah.
The land of Moriah is the area of Jerusalem. God tells Abraham
to bring Isaac to "one of the mountains of which I will tell you."
Mount Moriah is the mount on which King Solomon built the
holy Temple. Abraham built his altar on the very spot where the
Holy Temple would one day be built.
He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love,
Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a
burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you."
(Genesis 22:2)
Abraham did not object to God's commandment. Instead he rose
early in the morning to carry out the terrible duty. Remember
that he also rose early in the morning to send off Hagar and
Ishmael. *** When we have a commandment from God, even if it
seems disagreeable, we should not procrastinate.
Abraham passed the test. He demonstrated his confidence in
God.
21. When Isaac asked about the lamb for the sacrifice, Abraham
confidently replied, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for
the burnt offering, my son" (Genesis 22:8).
*** Abraham demonstrated he was willing to sacrifice Isaac,
even binding him, placing him on the altar and taking the
knife to slaughter him.
** How could a loving father do this? The writer of the book of
Hebrews explains:
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and
he who had received the promises was offering up his only
begotten son; it was he to whom it was said [in Genesis
21:12], "In Isaac your descendants shall be called." He
considered that God is able to raise people even from the
dead, from which he also received him back as a type.
(Hebrews 11:17-19)
22. When Isaac asked about the lamb for the sacrifice, Abraham
confidently replied, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the
burnt offering, my son" (Genesis 22:8).
*** Abraham demonstrated he was willing to sacrifice Isaac, even
binding him, placing him on the altar and taking the knife to
slaughter him.
** How could a loving father do this? The writer of the book of
Hebrews explains:

your descendants shall be called." He considered that God is able
to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received
him back as a type. (Hebrews 11:17-19)
*** Abraham believed God with such absolute faith that he did not
hesitate to obey. He knew God had made promises to bless and
multiply his seed through Isaac, and He knew God would keep
those promises, even if He had to raise Isaac from the dead.

24. יהוה (ADONAI) appeared to him … bowed himself to the
ground, and said, “,יהוה if I have now found favour in
Your eyes, please do not pass Your servant by. (Genesis
18:1-3) ( After Abraham Obeyed)
This is a difficult passage for Jewish rabbis to explain,
for in their thinking יהוה cannot appear to men, even
though this is what the passage clearly says. To admit
so would open the door of possibly to the veracity of
the Christian claim that “יהושע is God in the flesh”—
something unthinkable for most rabbis.
However, we’re told a number of times in Scripture that
no man sees Elohim, specifically His Face and lives. But
He said, “You are unable to see My face, for no man
does see Me and live.” (Exodus 33:20)
We also know that “angels” will not allow themselves
to be called יהוה or be worshipped in any fashion.
And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,
“See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your
brothers who possess the witness of .יהושע Worship
Elohim! For the witness of יהושע is the spirit of
prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10, 22:8-9)
25. יהוה (ADONAI) appeared to him … bowed himself to the
ground, and said, “,יהוה if I have now found favour in
Your eyes, please do not pass Your servant by. (Genesis
18:1-3) ( After Abraham Obeyed)
The text begins with the name YHVH that HE appeared
to Avraham and then speaks of the three men. When
Avraham speaks, He speaks in the second person
singular inviting all three men to stay and eat.
The narrative of the text switching between plural and
singular. The ongoing conversation between Avraham
and the men, the switching bet. Plural and singular,
indicate without a doubt the ONE whom Avraham is
speaking to to is GOD YHVH. This suggest that in some
instances within Scripture, GOD takes on the form of a
man in order to interact with mankind. Based on the
context of the passages, God reveals to Avraham what
HE is about to do to SODOM, it is clear that though GOD
can take on human form he does not give up HIS DIVINE
NATURE & AUTHORITY. This is very important to
remember while reading the Apostolic Writings in JOHN
1:14
26. “Va’yera”, or “and appeared” is closely related to several
other words. For example, we have “ra’ah” which means
“to see”, “look at”, “to behold”, “witness” as in “Re’uben”
or “behold a son”. With different vowel points, “ra’ah”
becomes “re’eh” or “mirror” or “rayah” which means
“evidence” or “proof”. As there are no vowel points in the
Torah text, as written. So, in this “appearing” of יהוה ,we
have “beholding” and “evidence” or “proof”.
Apostle Paul said this of יהושע
And when one turns to the Master, the veil is taken away.
Now יהוהis the Spirit, and where the Spirit of יהוהis, there is
freedom. And we all, as with unveiled face we see as in a
mirror the esteem of יהוה ,are being transformed into the
same likeness from esteem to esteem, as from יהוה, the
Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18)
*** For those who see יהושע , it is like seeing the image of
יהוה in a mirror (re’eh).

29. Learning from the Life of the our
Patriarch/Forefathers:
- Restoring the Abrahamic Legacy/Faith
- In the Hebrew scriptures children are very
important because they will inherit the
birthright blessings of the their fathers.
- Avraham complained to God that at his old
age he hadn’t had a son with sarah as such
his servant Eliezer his trusted servant will
inherit this properties?
- But it was a test of faith for Abraham.
- ***As it is written in the Apostolic writings
(not new testament btw) Abraham was a
FAITH HALL OF FAMER.

"The way" is the Hebrew word derech (Strong’s H1870)
and is used in the following places: Blessed are the
perfect in the way, Who walk in the Torah of !יהוה (Psalms
119:1)
"Justice" is the Hebrew word tsedaqah (Strong’s H6666)
meaning “righteousness.” Here is an example of its usage:
... For all Your commands are righteousness. (Psalms
119:172)
"Judgments" is the Hebrew word mishpatim (Strong’s
H4941) meaning “ordinances” referring to ’יהוהs moral
and ethical laws as embodied in the last six of the ten
commandments, which teach righteousness in one’s
business and personal relationships: ... [’יהוהs] righteous
judgments [mishpat]. (Psalms 119:7)

44. THE PARABLE OF THE INHERITORS of the KINGDOM
Hear another parable, There was a certain man, a house Master,
who planted a vineyard and placed a hedge around it; and He dug
a winepress in it, and built a tower. And He rented it to
vinedressers and left the country. (Isa. 51: 2) And when the
season of the fruits came, He sent His slaves to the vinedressers
to receive His fruits. And the vinedressers, taking His slaves, they
beat this one, and they killed one, and they stoned another.
- Again He sent other slaves, more than the first. And they did the
same to them. And lastly, He sent His Son to them saying perhaps
they might be ashamed before my Son. But seeing the Son, the
vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let
us kill Him and possess His inheritance. And taking Him, they
threw Him out of the vineyard and killed Him. Therefore, when the
Master of the vineyard comes, what will He do to those
vinedressers? They were saying to Him, "He will savagely
destroy them and He will lease the vineyard to other
laborers, those who will give to Him the fruit in its
season."
45. THE PARABLE OF THE INHERITORS of the KINGDOM
Yeshua said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "the Stone which the
builders rejected, this One became the Head of the Corner? This was from
YAHWEH, and it is a wonder in our eyes?" (Psa. 118:22, 23)
“ Because of this I say to you, The kingdom of YAHWEH
will be taken from you, and it will be given to a people
who produce fruits.” And he who falls on this Stone will be broken; but
on whomever It falls, It will destroy him.
And hearing His parables, the chief priests and the Pharisees knew that He was

46. The Battle For Inheritance – Understanding Our Times
We have the capacity to live and operate in dual
realms, and our inheritance is both spiritual
(supernatural, heavenly) and physical
(natural, earthly).
- Our inheritance is to bring God’s kingdom,
on earth as it is in heaven.
- It is to fulfil Adam’s mandate to rule in the spirit
realm and so exercise influence in the natural
realm. It is to see God’s glory fill the earth.
( FILL THE EARTH WITH THE KNOWLEDGE
OF GOD)
47. Finally, in crossing the Jordan they were embracing their destiny.
But they could have done so a generation earlier:
( Prophetically a picture of last generation entering the Millenial
Reign of YESHUA HAMASHIAYCH BEN DAVID)
LETS LEARN A LESSON IN THE TORAH ACCOUNT:
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “We should by
all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome
it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go
up against the people, for they are too strong for us” (Num 13:30-31).
Because of a spirit of slavery, an orphan spirit, a whole generation
did not believe and so failed to inherit – except for two: Joshua

49. Characteristics of the Joshua generation
I believe we are the generation & the labourers who will bring in
an even greater harvest in the supernatural dimensions of the
kingdom. - we looked at the characteristics of the Joshua
Generation, who received their own inheritance and enabled
others to do the same
1. The Joshua generation will be victorious warriors, dependent
on God for supernatural victory
The very first mention of Joshua is as a warrior.
Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim. So
Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out, fight against
Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the
staff of God in my hand.” Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought
against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of
the hill (Exodus 17:8-10).
We understand that mountains and hills represent places of
authority. This was where Moses went to stand, with the staff of God
in his hand.
50. So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel
prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek
prevailed (Exodus 17:11).
*** It was God’s supernatural authority that was being
lifted up, bringing heaven to earth and causing God’s
people to be victorious.
So Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the edge
of the sword. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this in a
book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly
blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.” Moses
built an altar and named it The LORD is My Banner; and he
said, “The LORD has sworn; the LORD will have war against
Amalek from generation to generation” (Exodus 17:13-16).
Inheritance robbers
51. Amalek were descended from Esau. They had lost their
inheritance, and were trying to take it back. They represent
those who would seek to rob us of our birthright and
inheritance. In that sense, God still wants us to war against
Amalek today.
This battle for inheritance will be in every generation, in each of
our lives. Will we be robbed of our inheritance? Or will we fight
and overcome in the power of God to receive it? We need to
know (that is, to know by personal encounter and experience) the
Name of God, Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our banner or victory. It is
only in Him, in His power, in His authority, that victory comes.
What is robbing you of your inheritance today?
Is it your past – memories of sin, guilt, shame or condemnation?
Are there whispers in your head saying you are unworthy, or not
good enough? Maybe you don’t feel forgiven.
You may retain memories of past failure, disappointments, and
disillusionment. If you are haunted by your past, then God wants
to meet with you to deal it today.
52. Are you holding on to a slavery mentality, feeling that you do
not deserve an inheritance, perhaps because you have not
earned it?
Do you know your new identity, or are you still acting out of
what the world and your past say you are?
An orphan spirit can mean that you don’t feel loved,
accepted, affirmed or approved of; that you don’t belong,
don’t have a father, home or family.
It may be stubbornness and pride – still thinking you can do
it your own way, refusing to admit you can’t do it in your own
strength; angry with the world and with God, thinking you
are owed something; having a big chip on your shoulder.
- Such mindsets and behaviour patterns are strongholds in
our thinking which, unless they are overcome, continually
deprive and rob us of our inheritance, the freedom in Christ
to live as sons of God.
53. When shall the restoration of all things be?
Written by Schalk_and_Elsa on. Posted in restoration
In the Scriptures we see the phrase “restoration of all things” a
few times. Do we understand what this phrase means and what
preconditions exist for this to start? It starts off with personal
restoration. Repentance is a key element of this process. How
are we to repent? What do we need to repent of?
Why is restoration necessary?
We are Israel. Every person who chooses to follow YHVH and His
ways are part of His people, His chosen ones. Even gentile
believers are grafted into Israel(Rom 11:17). When Israel left Egypt,
they were joined by a “mixed multitude” (Ex 12:38). This “mixed
multitude” was to be obedient to YHVH Elohim, thus following the
identical instructions. There is one Torah for all (Num15:16,29).
Likewise, it is for us: if we choose to follow the one true Elohim, we
are to be obedient to His instructions.
However, if we are not, we shall suffer the consequences. These are
described in Lev 26 and Deut 28.
54. YHVH is calling us to return to Him!

Our journey in life is part of a cycle. Everything in life is cyclical. Just

In the Scripture there are also different cycles: cycles of
righteousness and cycles of unrighteousness even cycles of
punishment. We choose which of these cycles apply to our lifes. We
can choose obedience to YHVH – learning from His cycles of
righteousness and live a meaningful life or choose disobedience and
live with the consequences. The world is currently starting to
experience the consequences of disobedience to YHVH – YHVH is
calling us to return to Him!
The cycles of righteousness are YHVH’s cycles.

62. What is the Kingdom of God?
- There are many references to the Kingdom in Scripture and almost as
many differing ideas about it.
- There are over 150 references to the Kingdom of God in the New
Testament, and as many to ‘That Day’ in the Old Testament.
Are these the same thing?
Abraham was chosen by God to start a special nation. The descendants
to the promise God gave to Abraham are called Israelites. Most all the
promises given in scripture about the Kingdom belong to the Israelites
and those that join themselves to them. Because the nation of Israel
had been unfaithful to God they were scattered to all the nations of the
earth. During the Messianic age (the Kingdom) the nation of Israel will
again be gathered together, from all the nations, as one nation to
receive the promises made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Then the
promised blessings are to be extended to all the nations. Knowing this
fact will help guide us through the prophecies in scriptures about the
coming Kingdom.
(All scriptures are from the NAS unless noted: some scriptures may
63. What is the Kingdom of God?
In current times we look at the scripture and the phrases "Kingdom of
God" and Kingdom of Heaven" and think the first is talking about a
kingdom on earth and the second a kingdom in the heavens. This is
not the case. As a Jew, Y’shua was saying the same thing with both
phrases.
The use of Kingdom of Heaven was a way of avoiding saying the name
of God. The same is the case when we say, "Heaven help me!" Don't
we really mean "God help me?"
In order to know Y’shua the man we must know the people of the
time. The Pharisees used the term "Kingdom of Heaven" and so Y’shua
used this term and goes further in talking about what the Kingdom is
like.
*** Have you ever noticed that today we hear a lot about Jesus in our
churches but very little about the Kingdom of God? Why do you think
that is? (lack of understanding)
64. There are four basic elements of a Kingdom:
- A territory (the earth)
- A people (the physical inhabitants of the earth)
- A constitution or rules by which to govern (the
Scriptures)
- An authority (King Messiah and His saints) [Daniel 7:13-14, 18]
*** The Kingdom of heaven mentioned in Matthew’s gospel
is the same as the Kingdom of God.[Matt. 19:23-24]
65. When Y’shua talks about the Kingdom He is talking about:
A Person - the King is a person and He is that person
A Power and A Process - when you think about the Kingdom, think
about the power of the Holy Spirit which is actively working in your
life. The Kingdom is also a process. Sometimes things happen quickly;
other times they take what seems like forever. God will only break in
on your life when there is a humble and broken heart. When you
"own" the King then you are the king. ** But when the King "owns"
you there is a big difference in one's perspective and how one acts.
A People - The Kingdom is a people over whom God reigns with
redemptive power. Just because you call upon His name doesn't
necessarily mean you are in His Kingdom. You need to be continually
focusing on Him and His will. You need to get rid of those things that
come between you and God. If you don't they will become what you
worship instead of God.
66. THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND ITS COVENANT
THE LAND
THE PEOPLE
THRU THE SCRITURES (Beginning with the Torah)
67. The Kingdom was first mentioned in scripture in Exodus 15.
The Rabbis say this is the begining of the Kingdom of God. It
is important to remember that He is King only over those
who submit to him. This does not change the fact that He is
the creator of all of us who will judge all the people, but the
Kingdom is only for those who are subjects of the King. It
wasn't until Israel said "Yes" to God that He became their
King. And it was not based upon the good works of the
Jewish people, it was based upon their acceptance of the
covenant and its reqirements. You don't have to accept God
as the creator and judge... It is true but you don't have to
accept it! If you want into the Kingdom, you have to accept
the responsibilities that come with it.
68. Because my people have forgotten me, they have
burned incense to vanity, and they have caused
them to stumble in their ways from the ancient
paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up; To
make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing;
every one that passes there shall be astonished, and
wag his head. I will scatter them as with an east
wind before the enemy; I will show them the back,

71. YHVH is calling us to return to Him!
INDIVIDUAL AND NATIONAL REPENTANCE (Phils)
Our journey in life is part of a cycle.
Everything in life is cyclical.
Just look at nature – the cycle of life… we are born into this world, we
grow up and we grow old and we die. Our life can be meaningful or
meaningless. Our choices determine which one it would be.
*** In the Scripture there are also different cycles:
cycles of righteousness and cycles of unrighteousness even cycles of
punishment.
*** We choose which of these cycles apply to our lifes.
We can choose obedience to YHVH – learning from His cycles of
righteousness and live a meaningful life or choose disobedience and
live with the consequences.
- The world is currently starting to experience the consequences of
disobedience to YHVH – YHVH is calling us to return to Him! The cycles of
righteousness are YHVH’s cycles.
72. Brad Scott wrote a short article on Ps 23:3 which explains it very well:
“The word paths is actually taken from the Hebrew root ‘agol ( עגל), which
means to be round or a cycle. Actually, David is using a familiar phrase to
the Hebrew people. He is saying YHVH leads us or guides us in the cycles of
righteousness. The cycles of righteousness refers to the yearly return of the
feasts of YHVH. This is why the closely related word chag ( חג) or festival, is
referred to as “making a cycle”. The chaggim are the cyclical holy days, in
which the righteousness of the God of Israel is taught. It is these cycles that
David is referring to. - - There is also a weekly cycle with the sabbath being
the seventh day, a monthly cycle starting with Rosh Chodesh, a seven year
cycle which ends in the Sabbatical year and a 49 year cycle which ends in
the Jubilee year (which is both the 50th year as well as the first year of the
next sabbatical cycle).
*** These are YHVH’s cycles of sanctification.
Sanctification is the process of transformation. YHVH uses these cycles to
teach us to live a set apart life.
We are currently in the fall season of the feast cycle. The next feast is the day of Atonement or Yom
Kippur. Yom Kippur is a solemn day of fasting, introspection and repentance. Every year at this time
YHVH teaches us about repentance. How to return to Him.
73.
74.
75.
76. Nothing is impossible to YHVH, He hears us when we pray, but
sometimes He chooses not to….If we are disobedient to Him,
He may not answer our prayers.
*** We are given instructions in the Scripture as to how we
are to live. We are to be obedient to His instructions. These
instructions are His commandments.
We can choose to be obedient to YHVH out of love for Him.
- We can’t attain salvation by doing it, but it is like a child who
is obedient to his parents out of love for them. They will still
love him whether or not he obeys. There is however a penalty
for being disobedient…
YHVH is our loving Father and He is calling us back to Him. He
is full of grace, loving-kindness, truth and justice. (Ex 34:6-7)
YHVH does not tolerate sin, but He has compassion on us
when we return to Him. He goes so far as to call us back to
Him. Joel 2:12–14
77. Joel 2:12–14
12 “Yet even now,” declares YHVH, “Return to Me with all your
heart, And with fasting, weeping and mourning; 13 And rend
your heart and not your garments.” Now return to YHVH
your Elohim, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to
anger, abounding in lovingkindness And relenting of
evil. 14Who knows whether He will not turn and relent and
leave a blessing behind Him, even a grain offering and a drink
offering for YHVH your Elohim?
*** We are even told by YHVH how we are to return to Him.
We are to confess our sin with genuine sincerity and turn
away from our wrong ways and obey Him. He will forgive us
and restore us back to Him. He will even bless us. Verse 14
refers to the possibility of YHVH having pity and relenting and
even blessing them with crops enough to present an offering
to Him.

•For 6 decades, the present judicial system only
requires a singular judge to decide on serious criminal
cases.
•This system was abused by the rich and powerful.
Justice was only for the rich and powerful who can

Article II Section 1 of the Constitution states that:
89. SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES – DEFILED LAND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
What defiled land looks like according to scripture
and how it can be cleansed. ***
For the purpose of the study we need to understand the
concept of spiritual principles.
By spiritual principles, I mean spiritual truth, you may also
call it spiritual laws. ***
YHVH has put certain spiritual principles in place.
*** One example is how obedience will bring about
blessing, while disobedience will bring about a curse.
This is a spiritual principle.
- A spiritual principle is in actual fact, truth we find in the
Scripture, something YHVH has said or commanded.
“If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you will be able to
move a mountain.” That is another spiritual principle.
90. What you sow, you will reap and many more.
These spiritual principles are always at work, it can
be compared to weather science.
Certain weather conditions will always cause
cloudy conditions or much wind.
*** In the physical realm, which is interlinked with
the spiritual realm, certain actions or conditions of
our hearts will bring about certain conditions in
our lives.
- Keep this in mind as you study with us.
We first need to understand what defilement is.
What is defilement?
91. What is defilement in the Holy Scriptures?
There are many references to defilement in scripture. The
Hebrew word that was translated as defiled or polluted is
“tame”
3237 I. א ֵמ ָט (ṭā·mē(ʾ)): v.; ≡ Str 2930; TWOT 809—1. LN 53.33–
53.40 (qal) be unclean, be defiled, i.e., beritually impure (Lev
5:3); (nif) made unclean, defiled, impure (Lev 11:43); (piel)
make unclean, defile, desecrate (Lev 11:44); (pual) defiled (Eze
4:14+); (hitp) make oneself unclean, defile oneself (Lev 11:24);
(hotpaal) be defiled (Dt 24:4+); 2. LN 88.271–88.282 (nif) improper sexual behavior, formally, defiled, i.e., initiate or receive improper sexual contact, and so be socially and ceremonially defiled (Nu 5:13),note: for another parsing in Mic 2:10,see 32392
The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary defines it well:
Uncleanness or impurity is basically defined as that which is a threat to
or opposes holiness, and hence must be kept separate from that
sphere.3
This is a good practical definition. Defilement and holiness cannot exist
together. Holiness is opposed by defilement. YHVH commanded us to
be holy, because He is holy. ***
92. Leviticus 20:26
26 ‘Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I YHVH am holy; and I
have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.
- Defilement or uncleanness can be caused by
natural human processes like marital relations, a
woman’s monthly cycle, childbirth, certain illnesses
and contact with a dead person. It can also be
caused by improper sexual relations and idolatry
for example, in short sin.
- We will for the purpose of clarity refer to this as
defilement or spiritual uncleanness and
- normal human processes as uncleanness or ritual
uncleanness.
93. The earth belongs to YHVH.
Psalm 24:1 The earth is YHVH’s, and all it contains, The world,
and those who dwell in it.
We, human beings are stewards of all that is on the earth.
After YHVH created the earth and everything on it, He said it
was good. HE then instructed Adam and Eve to be stewards of
it. YHVH gave man dominion over all that was on the earth.
Elohim blessed them; and Elohim said to them, “Be fruitful and
multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish
of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living
thing that moves on the earth.”- Genesis 1:28
- YHVH didn’t give them the earth, He instructed them to rule
over it. That is stewardship. Good stewardship involves
obedience and brings about blessing while bad stewardship
involves disobedience and corrupt the earth and defiles it.
- They sinned, which resulted in their expulsion from the
garden. The land also was cursed because of this sin.
94. In the garden. The land also was cursed because of this sin.
Genesis 3:17–18
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the
voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I
commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is
the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the
days of your life. 18 “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for
you; And you will eat the plants of the field;
*** From this, we already see the principle of disobedience
causing a curse, at work. The ground is still cursed today, it
brings forth thorns and thistles and we have to work very
hard in order to produce food to eat. This doesn’t stop here.
We already have to live with this reality, but land can also
become defiled due to disobedience. There are many
references in Scripture referring to land becoming defiled.**
95. What defiles the land?
Several causes of defiled land are mentioned in Scripture.
This defilement of the land is spiritual, but manifests itself in
the physical as we will see later. The first cause is idolatry.
Idolatry
Jeremiah 3:9
9 “Because of the lightness of her harlotry, she polluted the
land and committed adultery with stones and trees.
*** Idolatry defiles land. Idolatry is not only practiced when
a statue of wood or stone is physically worshiped,
- but when anything or anyone takes the place of YHVH as
we will see in a future article on strongholds.
96. Fornication and adultery
Leviticus 18:24–28
24 ‘Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these
the nations which I am casting out before you have become
defiled. 25 ‘For the land has become defiled, therefore I have
brought its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its
inhabitants. 26 ‘But as for you, you are to keep My statutes and My
judgments and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the
native, nor the alien who sojourns among you 27 (for the men of
the land who have been before you have done all these
abominations, and the land has become defiled); 28 so that the
land will not spew you out, should you defile it, as it has spewed
out the nation which has been before you.
*** The quoted passage is preceded by details about how the
land was defiled by incest, bestiality, sodomy and other sexual
sins. Any sexual immorality will defile the land, including
adultery and fornication.
97. Land is not only defiled when these sins are
physically practiced, but also when done in the
heart and mind.
A good example of this would be pornography.
Matthew 5:27–28
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not
commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you that
everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her
has already committed adultery with her in his
heart.
The next cause is bloodshed.
98. Psalm 106:38
38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their
daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with the blood.
*** Bloodshed includes any form of murder or
manslaughter. Abortion is also murder and is a way in which
sons and daughters are sacrificed to the idols of today which
are money, status and lifestyle.
Numbers 35:33–34
33 ‘So you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for
blood pollutes the land and no expiation can be made for the
land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of
him who shed it. 34 ‘You shall not defile the land in which you
live, in the midst of which I dwell; for I YHVH am dwelling in
the midst of the sons of Israel.’ ”
99. Bloodshed of any kind defiles the land. I believe
hatred and bitterness can also defile land, as this
defilement of the land is also spiritual.
Y’shua said:
Matthew 5:21–22
21 “You have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You
shall not commit murder’ and ‘Whoever commits
murder shall be liable to the court.’ 22 “But I say to you
that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be
guilty before the court; and whoever says to his
brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before
the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall
be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
The fourth curse is the breaking of a covenant.
100. Breaking a covenant
*** When a covenant is broken, land becomes defiled.
Marriage, for example is a covenant, when this covenant
is broken, the land will become defiled because of this.
Jeremiah 3:1
1 Elohim says, “If a husband divorces his wife And she
goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still
return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted?
But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to
Me,” declares YHVH.
*** Land is defiled in the same way when the covenant
YHVH has with us is set aside by our stubborn
disobedience.
Isaiah 24:5–6
101. Isaiah 24:5–6
5 The earth is also polluted (defiled) by its
inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated
statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore,
a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it

are burned, and few men are left.
*** The terms of the covenant was stipulated at
Sinai. When we don’t keep YHVH’s commandments,
we defile the land.
From the section above, we learned what can defile
land. We will next look what defiled land looks like.
What does defiled land look like?
102. In the section above, we have learned what causes a land to
become defiled. Sin pollutes the land and attract certain
punishments which manifests itself in us and the land.
Fear, illness, depression, lack.
Leviticus 26:16

What we see above is punishment from YHVH.
107. Leviticus 18:25

its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its

Jeremiah 12:11
11 “It has been made a desolation, Desolate, it mourns before
Me; The whole land has been made desolate, Because no man
lays it to heart.
Before we look at what this desolation means, we want to
show you that a house can also become defiled.
108. A Defiled house
The uncleanness spoken of in this passage is supernatural. Take
note it was YHVH who has put a mark of leprosy on the house.
Leviticus 14:33–36
33 YHVH further spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying: 34 “When
you enter the land of Canaan, which I give you for a possession,
and I put a mark of leprosy on a house in the land of your
possession, 35then the one who owns the house shall come and tell
the priest, saying, ‘Something like a mark of leprosy has become
visible to me in the house.’ 36 “The priest shall then command that
they empty the house before the priest goes in to look at the mark,
so that everything in the house need not become unclean; and
afterward the priest shall go in to look at the house.
There is a specified ritual involved in cleansing this house and in
some cases breaking it down is the only remedy. What could have
caused this defilement?
109. When we read the context, we can deduce that this house
belonged to a Caananite. When Israel took possession of the land,
they used the houses that were already there. With this mark
YHVH showed them that the house was defiled. This also proves
that we can be affected by defiled property previously owned by
others as this uncleanness is transferable to the objects and
people in the house.
Leviticus 14:46–47
46 “Moreover, whoever goes into the house during the time that he
has quarantined it, becomes unclean until evening. 47 “Likewise,
whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and
whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes.
From this we have learned that land and houses can become
defiled. This defilement is spiritual and cannot be seen. It can be
transferred to those who go into that house as they will become
unclean until evening.
110. Land defilement does affect the people living there
As we have seen in the section above about the house
becoming defiled, the defilement can be transferred to
objects in the house and to people who may enter the house.
My question, when I started this study was, if we moved into
a new house with a piece of land, can the sins committed by
the previous owners affect us in any way? If they defiled the
land by any of the things we learned about like, idolatry,
bloodshed, sexual sin or breaking a covenant, would it affect
us?
From her and our experience, and from what we have learned
thus far, it confirms that we can be affected by defiled land.
This verse in Leviticus also confirms this.
111. Leviticus 26:32
32 ‘I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who
settle in it will be appalled over it.
The Dictionary of Biblical Languages gives the following
definition of the word “samen.”
be appalled, horrified, terrified, dismayed, i.e., have an
emotion or attitude of horror and great fear, implying also
dismay and discouragement 2
If I understand the scripture correctly, it seems that
defilement leads to desolation. A land that is made desolate,
is almost uninhabitable by humans. It says here they will be
appalled over it, meaning filled with dread and great fear.
Why is this so? We can speculate about what this means or
we can search some more. Let’s look at what desolated land
entails.
Demons are associated with defiled and desolated land
112. Demons are associated with defiled and desolated land
Did you know that demons associate themselves with defiled
land? As we said before, we believe that this defilement of
the land is spiritual. In the book of Zechariah, the unclean
spirit from the land is mentioned.
Zechariah 13:2
2 “It will come about in that day,” declares YHVH of hosts,
“that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and
they will no longer be remembered; and I will also remove the
prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.
We clearly see here the association of unclean spirits where
idolatry is practiced.
In Zephaniah, the desolation of the land is described and how
is has become a resting place for beasts. I used to understand
this as a physical desolation inhabited by wild animals.
However, many other Scriptures supports it to be seen as
113. Zephaniah 2:15
15 This is the exultant city Which dwells securely, Who says in
her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How she
has become a desolation, A resting place for
beasts! Everyone who passes by her will hiss And wave his
hand in contempt.
The Hebrew word for “beasts” is “hayyah”
2651 I. ָּהי ַח (ḥǎy·yā(h)): n.fem.; ≡ Str 2416; TWOT 644a—1. LN
4.1 animal, wild beast, i.e., a most general term for an animal,

i.e., a supernatural creature representative in appearance of
several different kinds of creatures (Eze 1:5–10:20 passim)2
114. It makes logical sense after all, if land is defiled or unclean,
then unclean spirits will or can dwell there. It is as if the
defilement gives them the right or perfect habitat to dwell
there. This also explains the passers-by’s reaction to this
place. Those who pass by will hiss and wave their hands in
contempt. There are a few more references to this and it
seems to support this context. (Jer 18:16 and Jer 19:8)
In Isaiah, land judged by YHVH is described as desolate and
with the desolation, demons are associated.
Isaiah 34:14
14 The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The hairy
goat also will cry to its kind; Yes, the night monster will settle
there And will find herself a resting place.
When you read this passage, you may understand it to be
literal. However, when you look at the Hebrew words that
were used, this verse could be translated as follows:“The

2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen

demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of
every unclean and hateful bird.
The word “prison” in Greek is “phylake” and can also be
translated as “haunt” or “den” or “lair.”
These verses all show us there is a strong association between
desolated land and demons. It seems to work as follows: land
is defiled by sin and sin is judged which results in desolation.
Demons inhabit defiled and desolated land. How do we get
rid of these?
How do we cleanse defiled land?
Before we do anything else, we are to make sure we are in
right standing with YHVH.
118. We must be cleansed first
Before we even consider doing anything else, we are to be
clean before YHVH. Our own sin can defile our land.
2 Chronicles 7:13–14
13 “If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I
command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence
among My people, 14 and My people who are called by My
name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn
from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will
forgive their sin and will heal their land.
For this reason, we are to ask YHVH to bring to our
remembrance any unrepented sin no matter how
insignificant, in our eyes. We must search ourselves deeply
and repent. It may be something we have done in ignorance
or something we have forgotten to repent of. Any such thing
defiles us and gives demons the opportunity to harass us.
119. Our homes must be cleansed
After you have done this, go through your home and property
and ask YHVH to show you if you have anything that is an
abomination to Him. This can be African masks or drums,
statues of Baal or Buddha, dream-cathers, books about the
occult, pornographic material, music or dvd’s. If we have dvd’s
in our home that portrays adultery or fornication or any sin in
a positive way, we sanction that and that will give ha satan an
opportunity in our lives. The media we expose ourselves to
have a profound effect on our lives. I recently watched a
program about Media and the brain and it is amazing to see
this confirmed by scientific study.
Anything related to sin, any unclean thing is an abomination
to YHVH. We bring a curse over ourselves when we have
defiled things in our homes. With these things, we also give
demons an opportunity to harass us.
120. Deuteronomy 7:26
26 “You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and
like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you
shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned.
We are to destroy these things, best is to burn it, but any
form of destruction is good. We are, furthermore, to ask for
forgiveness for having these abominable things in our homes.
So, if land is defiled, how can it be cleansed? When Israel
entered the land of Canaan, a land that belonged to heathen
nations, that land must have been defiled by all their
practices. How was the land cleansed?
We know about the procedure that was followed to clean a
house that was defiled and had the mark of leprosy on it. This
procedure is described in Lev 14:49-53. However, this was
done by a Levitical priest, so this is not an option at this point
in time. The Levitical priesthood is an eternal priesthood
121. So, if we cannot follow what was prescribed, what are we to
do? I believe we can ask YHVH to drive out what needs to be
driven out. We read in Exodus and 2 Chronicles that YHVH has
driven out the inhabitants of the land. These inhabitants will
naturally include physical and spiritual beings.
Exodus 23:29–30
29 “I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that
the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field
become too numerous for you. 30 “I will drive them out before
you little by little, until you become fruitful and take
possession of the land.
This is physical, but also spiritual as the physical and spiritual
are interconnected. When you read this with a spiritual
context in mind, we gain understanding as to how this works.
2 Chronicles 20:7
122. 2 Chronicles 20:7
7 “Did You not, O our Elohim, drive out the inhabitants of this
land before Your people Israel and give it to the descendants
of Abraham Your friend forever?
YHVH has also given His people authority to drive out the
inhabitants of the land. This driving out included the
destruction of anything that had to do with their idol worship
and their pagan ways.
Numbers 33:51–52
51 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you
cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 then you
shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you,
and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their
molten images and demolish all their high places;
Deuteronomy 7:5
123. Deuteronomy 7:5
5 “But thus you shall do to them: you shall tear down their
altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their
Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.
This is, in my opinion physical, but also spiritual. Demons
attach themselves to anything unclean, and when these
objects are destroyed, they will leave.
Another facet to this cleansing is found in the book of Ezekiel.
YHVH said the following:
Standing in the gap
Ezekiel 22:30
30 “I searched for a man among them who would build up the
wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I
would not destroy it; but I found no one.
“A man who would build up the wall and stand in the
gap…” What does this mean? When we do the article about
124. Sound the alarm – shofar – YHVH WILL HEAR
We are commanded to sound an alarm with the trumpets
when we go to war against the adversary who attacks us.
Numbers 10:9
9 “When you go to war in your land against the adversary who
attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets,
that you may be remembered before YHVH your Elohim, and
be saved from your enemies.
It is spoken of physical war here. I believe we could do it
when we battle in the spiritual as well. YHVH gave the reason
for doing this: “that you may be remembered before YHVH
your Elohim and be saved from your enemies.”
Two other good examples are found in Judges and Joshua:
Judges 7:18
125. Judges 7:18
18 “When I and all who are with me blow the trumpet, then
you also blow the trumpets all around the camp and say, ‘For
YHVH and for Gideon.’ ”
Joshua 6:3–4
3 “You shall march around the city, all the men of war circling
the city once. You shall do so for six days. 4 “Also seven priests
shall carry seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark; then
on the seventh day you shall march around the city seven
times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.
Every day the trumpets were sounded as they walked once
around the city once. On the seventh day they walked around
seven times and the seventh time as the trumpets were
sounded, the people shouted and the walls crumbled.
126. Every physical battle we find in scripture, is instruction in
strategy for us in spiritual battle. I say this because every
battle is spiritual and physical. Those of the Israelites and
ours. I have not done an intensive study on this, but I believe
if we study the nature of the enemy and how it was
overthrown, we can learn much about spiritual battles. When
you consider the battles in scripture, some were fought
entirely by YHVH, while others were fought by the Israelites.
Let me give you an example. The battle between the Israelites
and Ai, just after Jericho fell. They made two mistakes: they
underestimated the enemy, but more importantly, they had
sin in their midst. Achan took things under the ban. That was
a sin and it caused the Israelites to lose that battle against Ai
(Josh 7:1-26). Righteousness is a prerequisite for victory. It is
the same in spiritual battle, we are not to underestimate our
enemy and we are to have no unrighteousness in us. YHVH’s

129. The way we understand the cleansing of defiled land is as
follows:
We are to first cleanse ourselves, and remove anything that is
an abomination to YHVH. Then, we are to sound the shofar
and drive out the spiritual inhabitants of the land. We were
given authority in Y’shua to do this. We will go into more
detail about this later. The last step is to stand in the gap and
intercede on behalf of the previous inhabitants, asking
forgiveness of YHVH for any sin that might have been
committed on the property, any bloodshed, broken
covenants, sexual sin or idolatry or anything related to this.
These four categories basically cover most sin.
When we do this the land will be cleansed.
After victory we are to dedicate the house and land to YHVH.
Dedicate your land to YHVH
130. Dedicate your land to YHVH
To dedicate is to set something apart for sacred use or in
honor of YHVH. The Hebrew word for dedicate is“hanukkah”

apart something for a sacred use, in honor of God (Nu 7:10,

In Scripture, we read of a special offering that was brought for
the dedication of the altar ( Num 7:10, 11, 84,88) In2 Chron
7:9, we read about the dedication of the Temple. These are
specific sacred places. However, we also read about the
dedication of the wall of Jerusalem.
Nehemiah 12:27
131. Nehemiah 12:27
27 Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought
out the Levites from all their places, to bring them to
Jerusalem so that they might celebrate the dedication with
gladness, with hymns of thanksgiving and with songs to
the accompaniment of cymbals, harps and lyres.
There is also a psalm written by David with a title “dedication
of the house” We do not know which house he was referring
to. It is said that it may be some kind of liturgy for the
dedication of buildings. We do not know for sure. There is a
verse in Deuteronomy that refers specifically to the
dedication of a home.
Deuteronomy 20:5
132. Deuteronomy 20:5
5 “The officers also shall speak to the people, saying, ‘Who is
the man that has built a new house and has not dedicated it?
Let him depart and return to his house, otherwise he might
die in the battle and another man would dedicate it.
The Hebrew word “hanak” was also used here.

53.52 (qal) dedicate, consecrate, i.e., a ritual and commitment
to devote a structure to deity or special purpose (Dt 20:5;
1Ki 8:63; 2Ch 7:5+)2
We shall look into how we are to do this in the next section. I
believe it is important to do this. If we have dedicated the
place to YHVH, He has authority there, it belongs to Him.
133. I understand that doing this would lessen or prevent the
influence of lesser elohims and their demons. These have a
right to the territory because there is a brothel 3km from our
home and a yoga center down the road. This, and the general
defilement of the area give demons the right to dwell there.
When we dedicate our place to YHVH, it will be under His
authority only as long as we don’t defile it with our sin.
We dedicated our land by walking around the perimeter,
blowing the shofar and proclaiming the land for YHVH. We did
this by reading certain Scriptures. We also stood in the gap
and asked forgiveness for sins committed on the property as
YHVH lead us. If you don’t know the history of the place, you
can ask forgiveness for the four sins that defiles land:
bloodshed, sexual immorality, broken covenants and idolatry.
Our next step is to do the same with the house.
Dedication of your home
134. Dedication of your home
We learned in the previous section that we are to dedicate
our homes. The question is how do we do this? Some people
anoint the doorposts and windows of their homes with oil
while praying over it. Is this scriptural?
There is scriptural proof for anointing the tabernacle and the
objects in it.
Exodus 40:9–10
9 “Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the
tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall consecrate it and all
its furnishings; and it shall be holy. 10 “You shall anoint the
altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the
altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
Leviticus 8:10–11
10 Moses then took the anointing oil and anointed the
tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them. 11 He
135. Numbers 7:1
1 Now on the day that Moses had finished setting up the
tabernacle, he anointed it and consecrated it with all its
furnishings and the altar and all its utensils; he anointed them
and consecrated them also.
The tabernacle was a sacred building. I deduce, based on this
that we can anoint our homes and so set it apart to YHVH. It
is important to remember that there is no special power in
this anointing. All power is from YHVH. We cannot sin and
then anoint our homes and think it will remedy the situation,
repentance is what is required when we sin. I read a
testimony of a man who watched a horror movie, this scared
him so much he had to sleep with his light on. The horrible
images stayed with him. The next day he decided to anoint his
home to get rid of the demons, but YHVH showed him that he
was to repent of watching that movie and ask YHVH to
136. Leviticus 14:51
51 “Then he shall take the cedar wood and the hyssop and the
scarlet string, with the live bird, and dip them in the blood of
the slain bird as well as in the running water, and sprinkle the
house seven times.
This procedure can only be done by a priest. The reason I am
showing this is to show that a cleansing ritual was prescribed
in this case. I do not see any harm in anointing your home
with oil while dedicating it to YHVH as long as you remember
that there is no special power in the oil. It is YHVH that
cleanses, not the oil.
After the cleansing and dedication, we are to make sure we
do not bring cursed objects into our homes and we are to live
our lives in purity and holiness. That means we are to keep
the commandments.
Keep YHVH’s commandments
137. Keep YHVH’s commandments
When we don’t keep YHVH’s commandments, we defile
ourselves and these unclean spirits gain a right to return to
afflict us. We see this in the Bible. When Israel strayed from
YHVH these “nations” returned to afflict them.
These commandments include the land Sabbath. The earth
belongs to YHVH, and we are for this reason, to keep the land
Sabbath wherever we are. It is very interesting how Israel
kept the sabbatical year after they entered the land. That was
no coincidence. We have written a few posts on how this
commandment is a test of faithfulness. The next sabbatical
year starts in Aviv 2016. Heed this call. The Sabbatical year is
not to be spiritualized, it is a literal commandment that we
are to keep.
Leviticus 26:34–35
138. Leviticus 26:34–35
34 ‘Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths all the days of the
desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land
will rest and enjoy its sabbaths. 35 ‘All the days
of its desolation it will observe the rest which it did not
observe on your sabbaths, while you were living on it.
Keeping YHVH’s commandments will ensure that YHVH keeps
that protective hedge around us that protects us. We will still
be tested, that is part of being a believer, but at least we will
not be afflicted as a result of our sin.
Conclusion
We have learned in this study that land can become defiled
by sin, especially idolatry, sexual immorality, broken
covenants and bloodshed. When land becomes defiled, it
attracts YHVH’s punishment, which will make it desolate.
Defiled and desolate land is inhabited by unclean spirits,
139. We can, however, cleanse the land and we have shown you
how to do that. After the cleansing, we are to dedicate the
property to YHVH and we are to live in obedience to Him. We
are to be very vigilant and not allow any defilement in our
lives or homes.
Let us not be destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Hosea 4:6
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…
You can read this whole passage in Hosea 4:1-19. This passage
addresses the priests whom we supposed to teach the people
to keep YHVH’s commandments, but didn’t. They were as a
result of this destroyed. YHVH employ different means to do
this. So, when we choose disobedience over obedience, we
will also be destroyed. Spiritual defilement brings destruction.
Micah 2:10
140. Micah 2:10
10 “Arise and go, For this is no place of rest Because of the
uncleanness that brings on destruction, A painful destruction.
Spiritual defilement will result in punishment. YHVH does not
punish us to get back at us for doing evil, but to get us to
return to Him. We are to make the right choices, we are to
cleanse ourselves and our homes and live pure and righteous
lives.

145. Avraham said to the servant who had served him the longest,
who was in charge of all he owned, "Put your hand under my
thigh; because I want you to swear by Adonai, God of heaven
and God of the earth, that you will not choose a wife for my son
from among the women of the Kena`ani, among whom I am
living; but that you will go to my homeland, to my kinsmen, to
choose a wife for my son Yitz'chak." The servant replied,
"Suppose the woman isn't willing to follow me to this land. Must
I then bring your son back to the land from which you came?"
Avraham said to him, "See to it that you don't bring my son back
there. Adonai, the God of heaven — who took me away from my
father's house and away from the land I was born in, who spoke
to me and swore to me, 'I will give this land to your descendants'
— he will send his angel ahead of you; and you are to bring a
wife for my son from there. But if the woman is unwilling to
follow you, then you are released from your obligation under my
oath. Just don't bring my son back there." The servant put his
hand under the thigh of Avraham his master and swore to him
concerning the matter. (Genesis 24:2-9 CJB) 145
146. It was the father’s duty to provide the bride for his son. Isaac was
thirty-seven years old when his mother died and had waited
upon his father to see when a bride would appear. Notice Isaac
did not take charge of his own life by going about seeking his
own bride. It was the responsibility of the father.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you (John 15:16).
Abraham chose his eldest servant for this very delicate job of
finding a bride for Isaac. Even though the servant’s name was
not mentioned in this whole story, it has always been
understood the servant was Eliezer (Genesis 15:2).
As was the custom when swearing an oath, the servant placed
his hand under Abraham’s thigh, thus validating his oath to him.
The thigh represented the seed of that person. If an oath were
broken or violated, then the issued children from that seed
would avenge the act of disloyalty (Genesis 24:2-9). Because
YHVH had led Abraham out of the spiritual filth of Babylon he no
way wanted Isaac to go back to what he had left behind.
146
147. Now why would Abraham insist on a wife for Isaac from the same
idolatrous culture that he had once been commanded to abandon?
Surely there were many faithful and available converts in his camp,
which had grown to at least several hundred.
Bereshith 9:25-27 Then he said: "Cursed be Canaan; A servant of
servants he shall be to his brethren.“ And he said: "Blessed be YHVH ,
The Elohim of Shem, And may Canaan be his servant. May Elohim
enlarge Japheth, And may he dwell in the tents of Shem; And may
Canaan be his servant."
The curse of Canaan passes down to all generations. This is the reason
why Abraham was not willing to consider a Canaanite wife for his son.
Long before this, it was Sarah who had understood that Ishmael could
not qualify as the seed of promise because he was born of a
descendant of Ham (Hagar). Later that son had to be cast out for he
did not carry the seed of promise. For Abraham, staying away from the
Canaanites and creating a line of descendants that was pure, was the
key to inheriting the land.
147
148. Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and all kinds of gifts
from his master, got up and went to Aram-Naharayim, to Nachor's city.
(Genesis 24:10 CJB)
Eliezer took ten of his master’s camels with him. It is the number of
Divine order; as in the Ten Commandments, the Ten generations from
Adam to Noach and ten more from Noach to Avraham.
Most significant is the idea of Eliezer being a picture of the Ruach
HaKodesh.
(1) Who has quickened and guided the Zionist movement and the
restoration of the Jews to the land of Israel, and
(2) Who the Father has sent to gather from the nations, restore,
equip, and return to the Father's house, the Bride of Messiah
Yeshua. The Spirit is currently restoring many believers, who are in
covenant with YHVH through faith in the blood of Messiah, to the
knowledge of their faith's Hebraic origins, their Israelite identity
and responsibilities, and their heritage of the Spirit and Torah of
YHVH.
148
149. The ten camels represent the ten tribes, the “Lost Sheep of the House of
Yisra‟el”. The Ancient Servant brought gifts, one camel load for each of
the ten tribes. We’re also told from the Hebrew that the servant
brought “all the riches of his master in his hand”.
.."Worthy is the slaughtered Lamb to receive power, riches, wisdom,
strength, honor, glory and praise!“ (Revelation 5:12 CJB)
Now, how could he take all of Avraham’s riches with him? Avraham was
probably one of the richest men of his day. Eliezer could not have taken
everything with him. The rabbis teach that he brought Avraham’s “will”
with him bequeathing everything to Yitzaq as sole heir, to show that
Yitzaq would inherit all. Isn’t that’s how it is with us? We have the
written declaration, The Scriptures, declaring that Yahshua, the
Bridegroom, has indeed inherited all of His Father’s riches and Kingdom
and those gifts were given to us also.
This is why it says, "After he went up into the heights, he led captivity
captive and he gave gifts to mankind.“ (Ephesians 4:8 CJB)
149
150. He said, "Adonai, God of my master Avraham, please let me succeed
today; and show your grace to my master Avraham. Here I am,
standing by the spring, as the daughters of the townsfolk come out to
draw water. I will say to one of the girls, 'Please lower your jug, so that
I can drink.' If she answers, 'Yes, drink; and I will water your camels as
well,' then let her be the one you intend for your servant Yitz'chak. This
is how I will know that you have shown grace to my master.“ (Genesis
24:12-14 CJB)
Eliezer was likewise a man of faith. Abraham had taught him well, just
like a son. Now, as the servant prayed, he asked YHVH to reveal Yitzaq’s
bride. And, he devised a test that would show the young lady’s
attitude toward service. This would tell him if she would be a suitable
match for the master’s son.
150
151. Before he had finished speaking, Rivkah the daughter of B'tu'el
son of Milkah the wife of Nachor Avraham's brother, came out
with her jug on her shoulder. The girl was very beautiful, a virgin,
never having had sexual relations with any man. She went down
to the spring, filled her jug and came up. The servant ran to meet
her and said, "Please give me a sip of water from your jug to
drink." "Drink, my lord," she replied, and immediately lowered
her jug onto her arm and let him drink. When she was through
letting him drink, she said, "I will also draw water for your camels
until they have drunk their fill." She quickly emptied her jug into
the trough, then ran again to the well to draw water, and kept on
drawing water for all his camels. (Genesis 24:15-20 CJB)
Then, after she drew and served the servant, she drew water and
served the Ten camels (ten tribes). She passes the test. In fact,
like Avraham, she runs to serve and reveals herself to Abraham’s
servant by her diligence and willingness to ‘go the extra mile.’
151
152. When the camels were done drinking, the man took a gold nose-
ring weighing one-fifth of an ounce and two gold bracelets
weighing four ounces .. (Genesis 24:22 CJB)
It is here that the Ancient Servant gives the Bride the first of the
gifts from her Husband:
1. A nose ring symbolizes being a servant. Gold represents
YHVH’s love for us and a half-sheqel is the price of the
atonement of a soul (nefesh).
2. Two golden bracelets weighing ten shekels. Like handcuffs,
these bracelets show that the work of her hands would be in
service to her Husband. As ten represents divine order; and
also here that she and her children would accept the Ten
Commandments.
He gives her these even before he finds out who she is. If it turns
out that she isn’t the seed of Avraham, then she can still
represent the Bride because of her heart’s desire to serve, even
as Avraham, the father served. 152
153. "Whose daughter are you? .." She answered, "I am the daughter
of B'tu'el the son Milkah bore to Nachor," adding, "We have
plenty of straw and fodder, and room for staying overnight." The
man bowed his head and prostrated himself before Adonai.
(Genesis 24:23-26 CJB)
Straw is teben (Strongs # 1129/ TWOT 2493 from TWOT 255),
Hebrew for: to build, rebuild, establish, pattern and build up as
in construction. The idiomatic meaning is to bring about/
increase in offspring. YHVH is the builder. Through Rebekah’s
offspring would come the whole House of Israel.
Fodder is mispo (Strongs # 4554) from the Hebrew root meaning
feed for animals. Animals in the Bible often symbolize people. In
her father’s house were straw and feed, representing how
in YHVH’s House there is feed for His people. The feed is the
teaching and instruction of YHVH. This food (His Word) nurtures
us when we walk in His ways, and is to be the pattern for our life
(Ezekiel 43:10-12; 44:23-24). 153
154. The girl ran off and told her mother's household what had happened.
Rivkah had a brother named Lavan. When he saw the nose-ring, and
the bracelets on his sister's wrists besides, and when he heard his sister
Rivkah's report of what the man had said to her, he ran out to the
spring and found the man standing there by the camels. "Come on in,"
he said, "you whom Adonai has blessed! Why are you standing outside
when I have made room in the house and prepared a place for the
camels?“ (Genesis 24:28-31 CJB)
We do not hear from Rivka’s father, Bethu’el (dweller with El) through
most of this discourse. Laban, at the sight of gold and hearing there
were ten camel loads of “stuff” outside just usurped his father’s lead in
this “bargaining”. Laban means “white”. Now before we equate this
with purity, let me remind you that we’ll be reading a lot more about
Laban in future parashot regarding Ya’aqob. We’ll see that Laban is
anything but pure. Yahshua’s remarks to the Pharisees shows the
character, “white-washed sepulchers”, meaning that they appeared
white and pure on the outside, but were filled with corruption inside.

Thought for the Week:
Abraham's life was a life of faith, and the life of faith is a life of testing. At every juncture we are tested. Passing each test requires stubborn optimism, resolute confidence in God and steadfast obedience. Life's problems are opportunities to prove our faith and to improve our faithfulness. We fail life's tests when we give in to despair, lose confidence in God or turn away from obedience. Every difficulty and trial is a test of faith. Will we assess the problem through the eyes of faith or not? Will we respond in faith or faithlessness?
Commentary:
He said, "Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you." (Genesis 22:2)
When God first called Abraham he said, "Go forth from your country." The Hebrew for "go forth" is lech-lecha (לך לך). That was the first test of Abraham's faith. Near the end of Abraham's life, the LORD again tells Abraham, "Lech-lecha." He commands him to bring his son Isaac to the land of Moriah. The land of Moriah is the area of Jerusalem. God tells Abraham to bring Isaac to "one of the mountains of which I will tell you." Mount Moriah is the mount on which King Solomon built the holy Temple. Abraham built his altar on the very spot where the Holy Temple would one day be built.
Abraham did not object to God's commandment. Instead he rose early in the morning to carry out the terrible duty. Remember that he also rose early in the morning to send off Hagar and Ishmael. When we have a commandment from God, even if it seems disagreeable, we should not procrastinate.
Abraham passed the test. He demonstrated his confidence in God.
When Isaac asked about the lamb for the sacrifice, Abraham confidently replied, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son" (Genesis 22:8).
He demonstrated he was willing to sacrifice Isaac, even binding him, placing him on the altar and taking the knife to slaughter him. How could a loving father do this? The writer of the book of Hebrews explains:
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; it was he to whom it was said [in Genesis 21:12], "In Isaac your descendants shall be called." He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type. (Hebrews 11:17-19)
Abraham believed God with such absolute faith that he did not hesitate to obey. He knew God had made promises to bless and multiply his seed through Isaac, and He knew God would keep those promises, even if He had to raise Isaac from the dead.
Abraham's Hospitality
Now the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, while he was sitting at the tent door in the heat of the day. (Genesis 18:1)
Abraham was sitting outside his tent during the hottest part of the day. Under the shade of a tree, he was trying to catch a little bit of breeze. He saw three strangers passing by on the road below. Despite the heat and the inconvenience, Abraham sprang up and chased them down to invite them home for a meal.
When Abraham hurried out to greet the strangers, he did not realize that they were angels. He thought they were just common wayfarers. He ran to meet them, bowed before them, greeted them and entreated them to enjoy a meal with him. His exceptional hospitality is a model for all godly people. Clement, the disciple of Peter, suggests that one of the reasons that Abraham merited the birth of Isaac was the exceptional hospitality that he showed to the mysterious visitors. Clement says, "Because of [Abraham's] faith and hospitality, a son was given him in his old age" (1 Clement 10:7).
We should show the same enthusiastic hospitality to people who pass near our "tents." By imitating our father Abraham, welcoming people into our homes and communities, serving them and showing them kindness, we demonstrate the love of God. We should treat each person we encounter as if it might be the LORD Himself.
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2)
Imagine the Messiah disguising Himself as a stranger and visiting your home or your congregation. How would He be received?

In our previous article we wrote about the spiritual impact of Babel and the one before about how the spiritual realm influences us. This week, we will dig a bit deeper into the topic of the spiritual realm with our focus on defiled land. Our foundation will be what is written about this in Scripture. We do this because we do not want to assume established practices as truth.
Here is a little bit of background to this. We live in an almost hundred year old farmhouse and since we moved here, we have experienced what will in the secular world be called a spell of bad luck, actually a few spells. Animals dying, machines constantly breaking down, our fruit falling from the trees, our vegetables being eaten up by pests of all kinds. We have also experienced regular misunderstandings, fear and depression and what could best be described as an evil presence in the house. We were experiencing what could only be described as being cursed in everything we endeavor. We felt overwhelmed most of the time and have time for nothing. We don’t believe in ghosts or in luck, good or bad, therefor our search. We started suspecting that we are under some sort of spiritual oppression. It is either due to something we are doing or the land may be defiled. After much introspection, we are suspecting that the land may be defiled. The history of this house confirms this. Allow us to share what we have learned about defiled land from Scripture.
We started our search to find out what defiled land looked like. In this study, we will share this with you as well as what defiled land looks like according to scripture and how it can be cleansed. We are in the process of applying what we have learned and have seen dramatic changes already.
Spiritual principles
Uncleanness and separation…are these commandments still for us? , Spiritual uncleanness and shadows…,Y’shua and the laws of clean and unclean ,Family purity and the law of Niddah
In this article, we will focus on defilement of the land and whether it has an impact on us.
Psalm 106:3838 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood.
Bloodshed includes any form of murder or manslaughter. Abortion is also murder and is a way in which sons and daughters are sacrificed to the idols of today which are money, status and lifestyle.
Numbers 35:33–3433 ‘So you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for blood pollutes the land and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it. 34 ‘You shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell; for I YHVH am dwelling in the midst of the sons of Israel.’ ”
5 The earth is also polluted (defiled) by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.
When you read our previous article about the spiritual impact of Babel, you will understand this. We can and are affected.
The experience of a friend of mine confirms this. She has written me a detailed account of her experience with defiled land. She lived for a period of time in a house with unclean spirits. These spirits associated with the house due to it being built on defiled land. She was a believer in YHVH, and was affected by them, even though she did not cause them to be there. She could sense them being there and her child could see them. Her father and sister-in-law who both lived in this house at different times were affected in that it caused issues they had with anger, for example, to be greatly magnified. This also proves that ha satan uses our weaknesses against us. When her father was living in a different home, he was better able to control these weaknesses he had.
She later moved to another area where the land was even more defiled. She explained the nature and cause of the defilement and it lines up with what we have learned. There was witchcraft, bloodshed, and incest practiced, to name a few things. It is amazing to read how this land defilement affected and influenced the people living there. This affected her too, but being a believer YHVH protected her and her children. It did make her life difficult though, maybe afflicted is a better word to use.
These accounts she has shared with me confirms firstly, that YHVH makes a protective hedge around those who believe in Him and secondly, that we as believers can be affected by unclean spirits associated with defiled land.
It makes logical sense after all, if land is defiled or unclean, then unclean spirits will or can dwell there. It is as if the defilement gives them the right or perfect habitat to dwell there. This also explains the passers-by’s reaction to this place. Those who pass by will hiss and wave their hands in contempt. There are a few more references to this and it seems to support this context. (Jer 18:16 and Jer 19:8)
In Isaiah, land judged by YHVH is described as desolate and with the desolation, demons are associated.
Isaiah 13:2121 But desert creatures will lie down there, And their houses will be full of owls; Ostriches also will live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there.
7470 II. צִי (ṣî): n.masc.; ≡ Str 6728; TWOT 1908—1. LN 4.1–4.37 desert creature, i.e., a wild desert-creature, likely a smaller range mammal, specific identification is not known (Isa 13:21; 23:13; 34:14; Jer 50:39+), note: some of these contexts may be a desert demon,
It might have been an occult game played as a child, the reading of a horoscope, an occult or pornographic book we read or owned. This may sound strange, because YHVH knows everything and if we ask Him to forgive all our sin, He will forgive everything. When I became a believer, I confessed that I was a sinner and wanted Him to take control of my life. I did not confess every sin I have ever committed at that stage. I asked Him to forgive all my sins. However, the way I understand it, is that we then need to repent of sin as YHVH shows us. These sins we have previously committed, are like little weak areas in our armor. The accuser knows about it and he will accuse us and condemn us in this area. If we have confessed every sin as YHVH brings it to our remembrance, we are free from this, because we know we have confessed and asked forgiveness. So, when the next time he accuses us by saying maybe you are not forgiven for this or that, we would know that we have confessed it and have been forgiven. So, we actually do it for ourselves. It brings complete freedom to do this
