Current responsibility areas:
- Technical lead for the bank Infrastructure team.
- Manage the following space: Bank’s email, data archiving and transmission systems.
- Primary duties include design and configure Exchange 2013 and Enterprise Vault Archiving system.
- Escalation point includes Active Directory, Server farms, banking core applications, item processing, and priority applications
from various departments and endpoint as needed.
Roles:
- Maintaining and monitoring the email and archiving systems.
- Architect and implement high availability and disaster recovery for critical systems such as email, core applications, etc.
- Monitoring and tuning system performance in our infrastructure using Whatsup Gold, SysInternal and Wireshark tools.
- Update infrastructure systems to ensure optimum security within network environment without compromising performance.
- Identify business requirements and deliver cost-effective infrastructure solutions to the organization.
Past major projects:
- I was the technical lead in the server/workstation space for few of years.
- I was the primary client/server architect to integrate the new bank core applications when the Mainframe was migrated to FIS
under the ITSRP project.
- Automated software delivery by creating silent install packages.
- I was the technical lead for the bank’s check imaging system upgrade from paper to digital. I designed the operation system
with resiliency and improve system availability by innovating existing technology without compromising the highly sensitivity
application requirements.
- I was the technical lead for the bank branch check image capturing system implementation. To reduce downtime, I created a
branch image capture deployment template for our Endpoint team to improve support response time which can be deployed
under 4 hours of service level agreement.
- Architected and implemented Symantec Enterprise Vault to archive emails from Exchange 2007 and 2013. In 2014, I enabled
Storage Expiry by deleting all emails older than 3 years from our Vault. We recovered 11TB from EMC Centera storage.
- Architected and implemented Exchange 2007 upgrade to Exchange 2013 recently.

- Working as a system consultant for SIMPAC Fleet in Honolulu Naval base to manage their file shares, Exchange 5.5, networking
and user support on a weekly and on-call basis.
- I was a system engineer that supported many local small businesses required on-demand technical support for their day to day
operation.
- Participated in many States of Hawaii RFP projects. Among it was migrated Department of Human Services (DHS) off their
Banyan Vines network to Microsoft Windows platform before Y2K.
- I was a Microsoft Access database developer for commercial customers.
- In 2001, I was sub contracted to Bank of Hawaii as their Server/Workstation administrator.
