Combined Federal Campaign – CFC, New York, NY 2009 – Present
Fundraiser
Responsible for creating annual New York City campaigns raising $325,000 from employees
from of 36 federal agencies with over 2200 employees. Agencies include: DOL, SEC, UN, NASA,
CFTC, the FDIC and The NY Smithsonian Museum. This is the only fundraising campaign allowed
and endorsed in the federal workplace.
Consult with and provide counsel to agency leadership on developing fundraising
campaign strategies and methodologies to increase dollars collected over previous years
—especially critical, given the economic recession, federal pay freeze, and impact of
Hurricane Sandy on the New York City community.
Train and motivate agency coordinators and key workers in the behaviors and skills
needed to raise funds from coworkers. Train and mentor new fund raisers.
Develop strategies for planning fairs, auctions, talent shows and other revenue-
generating events convening at federal venues.
Collect all monies raised—cash, checks and payroll deductions.
Work with nonprofits to prepare their applications for acceptance into strictly regulated
Federal employee campaign catalogue. Of the 300 nonprofit applicants I have consulted
with, 95 percent were accepted into the catalogue.
